Amish Heart
A True Doomsday Prepper
The last thing I would do would be to go to the store. So many are off grid around us, I don't think they'd notice for awhile.
We've got plenty of food, but everyone could always use more. Nothing would get us to Bug-out except possibly a forest fire, then we're screwed.Solar flare a government EMP what would you do tomorrow would you recognize it right away what would you do to prepare your family and where would you go

I have my HT HAM in a sealed ammo can as well as my solar-hand crank radio. I also have extra batteries for use on devices that might still work after the EMP.
I was talking about with advanced warning making a last run to top off the pantry, not a weekly thing. Without power the stores would all close anyways.
in regard to grid shutdown and that "last minute" shopping spree >>>> if power is lost, it's usual corporate policy for most of the Big Box stores to escort the customers out for liability sake and lock the doors as people exit - have to definitely keep that in mind as you load that cart - define that priority list and regularly chek out and handoff your purchased load to your parking lot crew >> not going to do you much good to have an in-store pile up or try running a bunch of loaded carts thru a possible parking lot hell .....
It would be a nice time to have an AK-47 and a thousand rounds of 7.62X 39.I think I would just open another beer and wait for the panic to calm down, up the security, prep the house to look burned out to keep the looters away and start taking names...GP
I was in a Wal-Mart and the power went out.
Except their check out lines still had power. Not even a hic-up. Kept right on going.
Not sure about the security camera system.
