Guys the writer originally wrote the comics based on Carl growing up in the zombie apocalypse. He’s going nowhere. Negan is the writers favorite character he’s not going to get rid of him. He’s a major player in the world after the war. He has changed very small things from the comics. The main story and characters have pretty much stayed the same. I know you guys are hopeful but, I love dashing your dreams when it comes to this show. Lol

How can they keep Negan? He would never give up trying to rule the world. I guess he could sneak off with the threat of returning always lurking in a future show. I really don't take this too seriously, but enjoy the series.

Negan you find out later became this way. He used to be a nice guy and a PE coach. He just believes that the world can’t change. He will believe differently later. He becomes very important to the story line.
