Apparently there are large scale riots in the Lebanon now to go with the Catalonian, French, Chilean, Hong Kong , Venezuela, Mozambique, Russian and other growing civil unrest across the globe.

Iv often said the Leftist in America are very fortunate that We Conservatives do not riot . At least We don't at this time .

Some of these people have more than enough reason to demonstrate. Hong Kong for example - they are losing their freedom and autonomy to China; I think any people in their right minds would want to do something about that.
So what's the difference between riots and simple demonstrations? If it's only about the violence level of the gathering, an oppressive police force can quickly turn what would be a peaceful demonstration into a violent protest.
The French on the other hand love a good riot over pretty much anything.

I saw one report that anyone in the streets after curfew in Chile is being shot by the Military . Iv not seen anything to support that but thats what may have happened 40 plus years ago .

I'm not sure that's the right term, 'riot'. The "Right" will not just go out & randomly destroy cars & businesses. We're not just animals out venting (like lefties). We're not going to 'demonstrate'. We know what the problem, or more specifically WHO the problem is. Democrats. RINOs. Welfare freeloaders. The criminal element. Druggies/pushers. Perverts. Socialism. Communism. We can't shoot ideas, but we can put names on the problem and take them out.

I had a discussion about this with a coworker today. There is a reason I don't live in California. I was thinking about how much freedom has been taken away - little by little, not through harsh laws or dictatorial proclamations, but by a slow conquest of bureaucratic process, permits, and rules that can make everyone a criminal, so if they decided to prosecute someone, they just have to pick which infraction to charge them with.

Rodney King did not from His scuffle with Police . I don't know the details but probably died from alcohol and drugs . Or health issues from them years later .
Notice how the riots slowed after they left their own neighborhoods and started into the Korean area .

Exactly, Creeping socialist totalitarianism, one little bit at a time, and in CA its perfectly typified by that offgrid comunity that has lived peacefully out of the way in the desert outside LA since the 60s. People who decided they wanted out of the system to live peacefully the way they want as thy want on what I think was a long abandoned airbase. Suddenly the local authorities decided it all had to stop but the only way they could take control was to insist all homes had to be connected to gas, elec, water and seweage utilities for public hygiene protection ( Have they looked at the streets of San Francisco lately?). Naturally it would have cost millions of dollars to connect up the community and the resident could not afford it, so they are being evicted. Socialists cannot allow ANYONE to live outside their control.

Over this side of the pond lefties are saying teachers must encourage children to spy on their parents social habits and report them to the teacher who will contact the authorities (Scotland) physical chastisment of ANY kind is to be criminalised in Wales and Scotland. In other parts of the EU they want to ban fathers bathing their female infant children or taking them to the toilet because they think fathers are paedophiles ??, We have schools where teachers inspect childrens home made lunches provided by mum to see if they approve. If they dont they seize the foods they disapprove of ( yes the kid goes hungry). The malignant cancer of socialism spreads its tendrils EVERYWHERE.

I stand corrected yes I remember the Koreans sat and stood on the flat roofs of their businesses locked and loaded, the blacks stayed well away. And like every time that section of society riots and loots and burns randomly from LA to Chicago to London, Yorkshire etc a few months after stealing and destroying everything they ALWAYS turn up on TV complaining about the lack of shops, drugstores, liesure facilities in their hoods. Yes there is an absense of shops, jobs, businesses because they looted em.
