Briar secure messaging app

So a couple weeks ago assange tweeted for Ukrainian to use the briar messaging app. Everyone on Twitter said don't do it it's Russian propaganda because the wardrume are deafening at this point.
I'm curious if anyone is using or willing to try or use it so I can compare it with other alledged secure message apps whivh I have but don't imagine them to be secure.
My current network of hands on real people are all apple folk. If anyone is on or willing to get on, and let's just assume we are all feds so no necks out in any way. I am on there as Yahwist.
