My Son got this note at the Station from his boss, he Texted me with the content, a few here will get this

ATF: knocks on door
Citizen: Opens door
ATF: "May we talk to you?"
Citizen: "Those plates level IV?"
ATF: Nervously looks at his partner
Citizen: Gently closes door

Level 4 body armor Bill

ATF = Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms

Figuring out which caliber weapon to use if they try an illegal entry. And letting them know that the body armor they are wearing is probably not going to save them.

Level IV: single-shot protection against .30 caliber armor piercing (AP) bullets (U.S. Military designation M2 AP) with a specified mass of 10.8g (166gr) and a velocity of 2880 ft/s (+/- 30 ft/s).

In other words, level IV will defeat one round of 7.62, but not 30-06, 270 Win, etc. at close range (> 2880 ft/s)

Something like 45-70, it will stop the round but there will be massive blunt force trauma.
