A long time ago in a galaxy far far away I taught Junior High and High School Math. I've heard all the excuses...and yes some kids just refuse to learn math. And what is more infuriating, it is often the parents who are the cause, because they don't think it's important for their kids to learn math. And it's not just minorities either.

And that was in the 1970s!

Quantum computers can avoid the binary issue in computing. They are brand new but much more powerful. Look it up; they are quite scary. But they are still built on the principles of math and science that all computers are built on. If we don't want people to fall into oppression, they need to be educated; this includes understanding science and math.

The left has always hated Math. It doesn't conform to their core belief that there are no absolutes, and that the only truth is their version of the truth. So they have to either find ways to make it relative (New Math) or to disparage it, or to flat out contradict it.

It's why in the book 1984, people were required to believe that "two and two make five".
With the exception that "when designing a gun or an aeroplane they have to make four" because "they could not afford to encourage any illusion that tended to impair military efficiency" LOL
