Yeah, I read that just a little while ago. I swear, they are bug nuts crazy. A serious case of little man syndrome, got to prove they have the biggest balls on the block.

I am very concerned about korea. They are the obnoxious bully down the street that will only get worse unless you knock him on his fat ass!
our government, such as it is at the moment, needs to absolutely go after the ass clown that is running korea.

our illustrious President needs to tel this guy what he is doing is either and overt threat or terrorist aggression against the USA, and it WILL be dealt with extremely harshly.

I am amazed at the stupidity of n. korea... why would you point your one or 10 nukes at a country that has enough to wipe your sad pathetic country completely off of the map, and/or blow the world up 4 or 5 times
 
Korea does it because they know we have a... coward in office. They know he isn't going to call them on their **** and they are going to push and push until they cripple us in the end.
 
I've been concerned about North Korea for a few months now, although it seems that South Korea is their immediate target (from what I've heard/read). It's definitely something to keep an eye on.
 
These countries are just waiting till we are weak. Bans, military units getting lower and lower, coward president as stated above. Everything will come down to the point of hit them while they are weak.

I don't know that russia can afford to do anything. That, however, does NOT preclude them from selling arms to these rogue/terrorist nations.

I have always felt one of the reasons we have not been invaded is because of the 2nd Amendment. Once our current idiots in office succeed in disarming us we will be sitting ducks. There are many countries that want to take a piece of us, beyond just North Korea and Iran. It would not surprise me one bit if those countries are currently having secret negotiations as to how to pull together and attack the USA as a unified force.
 
You said it clyde, our gov't has been the biggest BS'ers on the block for years. Telling the countries who had something that we could gain from that they are freinds, good buddies. But after awhile those countries begin to see the lies and realize that we have only been freinds becuase there are some political benefits for us and soon if not already they will have secret meetings and get together to get rid of the "bully" on the block.
as for Korea, don't worry, the nuclear launch button was installed next to the light switch and the short little bastard won't be able to reach it.

I definitely agree. We are only safe because everyone in the world knows that many of Americas citizens are armed and would defend our Country, their homes, families, and friends from anyone who tried to invade. Once we are disarmed then we become vulnerable to outside attack or even to attack from the inside from our own Government. As for North Korea they can't build anything that works anyway so no need to worry about them. I think China will turn into a problem and we don't even realize it. They have a massive military and have stolen pretty much all of our technology so they are a big concern and no one even sees that.
 
Why do you think china builds most of what we use? so they will be our "freinds". That goes for all of the cocuntries who do the jobs that us americans should be doing. At some point those countries were upset with the USA so our gov't made a deal with them so they would be happy, for now. It's all BS and you can bologna people for awhile but anyone with a small brain will eventually figure out that they are being lied to.
10 years ago i'd punch anyone right in the nose if they said anything about my gov't, today i've learned so much and I see the truth behind the lies. This BS has been going on for more than 200 years. Do the research and you'll find things like: Bush's and Rockefellers back then were rich, freinds, in politics and banking as they are today. Rockefellers own the Standard Oil Company, back when Germany was invading Europe with aircraft the german planes had to use an additive in order to fly, that additive was patented by the Standard Oil Co and the Rockefellers sold millions of dollars of fuel with this additive to the Germans. So, guess who financed part of the german attack on Europe?
The truth is there, you just have to look. It is sad, very sad that most of us have blinders on and cannot see the truth or will not believe what we see. this wonderful life we are living now will not continue it's pace and it's all due to the facts that a few men, and women, a long time ago had a plan. It's no different than it was back in Egypt as the pharoahs or kings sat up high and had to come up with a plan to govern or control the masses of people. They had "control" and could do anything or tell the masses anything. Our Gov't is no different today and they know what and when to say things to manipulate the masses for their own evil aggendas. In the end they want "control" and trust me, they will do whatever they need to to gain that control.

I agree with what you are saying the masses definitely have the blinders on just look at the last election. The whole Country crying for change, Congress with its lowest approval rating ever and they re-elect the same people again. Ridiculous! There was a time when this Country stood for something good and I still believe in the Constitution. I swore to uphold and defend it and I did for 15 years until I was injured in Iraq on my second tour. Now I see the other side. I was pushed aside like an old useless dog and given nothing for 15 years of service to this Country. I got forced into taking a medical discharge instead of getting my disability retirement for my combat injuries. I survive on what little the VA sees fit to give me and do everything else myself when I can. The Government wants power over everything and that's not what is in our Constitution nor is it what this Country was founded on. I hope people see the light before its too late but I doubt it.

The "pup" is a "german shepherd, father is in LA with sherriffs and mother works with TSA agents at fresno/yosemite Int'l airport. She's already been to training with 2 brothers through county sheriff's and may go to extended training if I can afford it. I Think she'll buggout with me when I go. She can already hear someone coming a mile away and her training has her finding any gun or ammo buried or not. Try running with her and it's quite a workout to keep up and she knows who's winning. she's a doll of a dog and my second shephard, first one lasted 14 years so this one will be around after i'm gone.
 
There are rumors that I have not validated yet that alot of the "contractors" who were/are over seas will end up as domestic forces here on our soil. I mean hundreds or thousands who by the way are only loyal to a huge paycheck will be trigger happy running around our country taking care of the gov't's estimated 3-4 million non-conformists who are labeled "domestic terrorists" by our Gov't.
Even if you, like many here where I live store food supplies to last more than 3 days your considered a terrorist.

I wonder sometimes how often this site has been monitored by the "G"? They do keep track and keep a list and could even have an insider as a member, it wouldn't surprize me.

Ive had 6 shepherds over the last 25 some odd years,2 at present , so you know where im coming from .... I feel the need for some puppy breath.... but i really sleep good with my babys on watch.

that little yippy dog is barking again! the UN and USA talk of Sanctions again and verbally "Strongly condem" :rolleyes: the test. It always cracks me up when a complaint is filed with the UN or everyone gets together and says we strongly disapprove of this action, as if their disapproval means squat.

We have shunned them on the playground. We have sent them to bed with no dinner (litterally). what more can we do aside from blowing some stuff up??

The reclusive North said the test was an act of self-defense against "U.S. hostility" and threatened further, stronger steps if necessary.

It said the test had "greater explosive force" than the 2006 and 2009 tests. Its KCNA news agency said it had used a "miniaturized" and lighter nuclear device, indicating that it had again used plutonium which is more suitable for use as a missile warhead.

When he was elected he said he would do it as long as his health held up. Looks like its not.
 
The worry wort in me just wants to tell me this is a prelude to something big. Perhaps he does not agree with something he knows is going to happen.

Ok, back to the subject, North Korea.

Worried?? A little. North Korea have always been a mouthy bully ever since they picked on the weaker South, and with UN action, they copped a bloody nose ( mind you, they got a few good hits in too, compliments of PRC troops).They have been festereing and stewing over this for a long time!!! They remind me a little of that kid that lost a fight, then bulked up doing weights etc, and is now a lot stronger, and scarily, more smarter. They have one of the largest land armies in the world ( I believe they are in the top 5 in army size, but I will check this and clarify this comment), and with their missile capabilities, they can reach not only Japan and the US, but us down under!!

Do I think they will do anything??? Not sure, it will depend on how much longer China can restrain them, Like it or not, China hold the cards in this one - if China get tired of the North's carrying on, and loosen the leash, then, well, don't expect to get anything from property investments in Seoul. And, it depends on what the West will do!! If they take military action and knock out a few strategic military bases/missile sites/leaders, will the North then have the capability to react, or even the will???

I guess time will tell what our leaders will do - maybe like the movie "Team America -World Police - when the UN said about North Korea 'we will write them a letter and tell them we are angry, and if that doesn't work we will write them another letter and tell them we are VERY angry'"

N Korea is insane. I'm not quite sure they will ever be able to develop anything that will reach us that won't be blown out of the sky first. My concern is getting into another war when our military spending will be cut. We just can't afford this. I'm a lot more concerned with the financial ramifications to this incident then the threat of a missile.
 
It just seems like the way we wage war is so inefficient right now. IMO we should utilize the tech we have instead of the men and women. What if we just went crazy with drone attacks, missiles, and bombs. Clear out all enemy targets in a worthy location like N Korea or Iran. Remind the rest to take us seriously when we speak.

I don't say this lightly and I don't speak with confidence as I am a tad to young to know what it was like during the cold war and my suggestion could lead to another one. It seems like it would be alot cheaper and safer for the troops. Please correct my thoughts!
 
Musings of a 64 y.o. veteran:

No war can be won without boots on the ground.

That being said, early in the cold war we were afraid of a hot war with either China or the former USSR. That and public opinion was the reason we didn't carpet bomb N. VietNam.

Fast forward to the present. The world doesn't care about us anymore, we are a paper tiger. The USSR doesn't exist anymore and the Chinese are the preeminent power in the world. Their little step-brother has become a pain in the neck, but they won't take direct action. The Chinese hold too much of our debt so they need us producing and would stand by if we took action against N. Korea. We would, in effect, become their surrogate. We've used surrogates a lot over the past 50 years. A couple of tactical nukes should get N. Korea's attention.

Why should we care about world opinion? Because we no longer manufacture much and could become a nation like Iran when the rest of the world slaps economic sanctions on us.
 
Yes, I am concerned about north Korea. But I'm more concerned about the radical religious-fanatic Muslim terrorists this country is now dealing with.
