Definitely an advantage there. Not sure if it’s worth your winters for me, but love all the other aspects of your place.Good luck finding our place.
What winter? We're down to only a couple feet of snow now. Of course the road is a combination of mud, rock, ice and wash outs right now.Definitely an advantage there. Not sure if it’s worth your winters for me, but love all the other aspects of your place.
Give me an update in two months or so. I expect I could survive about 5 months of the year there as I’m a southerner at heart. What winter? We're down to only a couple feet of snow now. Of course the road is a combination of mud, rock, ice and wash outs right now.
As beautiful as that part of the country is in the summer, I don't think I could survive the winter. But you definitely have the "social isolation" part down to avoid the pandemic. We're down to only a couple feet of snow now.
How do you think I plan to keep my dogs fed? Lol
I have one pit and three chiuahuas. The chis bark at the slightest noise. Good alarms.I have two pits and a collie. All decent sized dogs. Except the one that lives inside, she dosent think she is a dog....
Good luck finding our place.
By lower 48 standards we're well off the beaten path. We're about 20 miles from town (population 500. County pop 2800) and 4 miles from the nearest neighbor. And about 4 miles from power too. We're 100% off grid on solar with diesel back-up.Sounds like you are well off the beaten path. We are in a small town, but would very much like second home many miles away from others for situations like this. Up until this I was against spending the money for it, but changing my mind pretty rapidly now. Do you really like your area? Are you far apart from others? Don’t want to be nosy, so don’t answer if you don’t want to.
