The division between the right and the left in the USA is ramping up hard and has been for some time now. With all the left talks of gun control and confiscation I believe that this would trigger an all out civil war. Depending on how the military and law enforcement act would be a huge factor in who would win. I myself believe that they would side with the right even if it meant to not follow orders.
However if you think about it all deeply one of the biggest and really only weaknesses that the right has in a civil war is the lack of unity or being organized together in such a way to unite efforts. If certain patriot groups that are out there already had the gunction to think out side the box they could easily be uniting the right right now, but they are generally more concerned about their group.

What are you thoughts on civil war 2.0 in general and the need and or how to, to unite the right.
 
If Civil War actually came along, most of the "Right" are ex-military or ex-LEO's, or active in both, and I believe organization would come very quickly, especially in and around urban areas, to contain the threat.
 
I know certain individuals who are certainly thinking along these lines. Some of them are current or former LEO or military, and they say they would not follow such unconstitutional orders. But I know others who I am pretty sure would do so. It could turn very bad very quickly if someone seriously decided to go door to door confiscating weapons.
 
I don't believe there's anywhere near enough people on the Right with a backbone to engage in any type of civil war. The military and police will follow orders and put down any kind of "uprising" from the Right. As long as the Right has their sports, TV, internet, beer and cigs they won't do anything but complain. About the most that we can hope for is that more Conservatives will get off the couch and vote in 2020.
 
"As long as the Right has their sports, TV, internet, beer and cigs". You left out a couple items. These same folks (and I consider myself one of them) also cherish their Cars/Truck and GUNS. Don't mess with my CARS or TRUCKS. California, looking at you. Keep your STUPID anti-car laws in your borders. MORE IMPORTANT, don't mess with my GUN collections.

I know a lot of law enforcement and military (some EX) and in most cases they have the best gun collection. I don't see them trying to confiscate guns from the general public. I can see them confiscating guns from criminal but not the general public.

Erm in the UK our Supreme court just made a ruling that the Prime Ministers decision to prorogue parliament was illegal and invalid, BUT they could not cite any law that had been broken. They simply decided that the democratically elected governments action was illegal, but no law exists to say the action was illegal. The Elite simply dont give a flying f*** about due process.

I see rioting in LA. I see looting in New Orleans. I could see many little shootouts when someone tries to take some guns off a non-criminal person. BUT, I cannot picture how anyone in his right mind really, really thinks America has enough problems with guns, religion, racism, sexism, anti-gunism and so forth, that an all out civil war would happen. Fights over a parking space, a football game or my dog shitting in your garden, bla bla bal. Civil War? Who are those people trying to get some attention by starting such a ruckus about a fantasy. Too many movies and series about Aliens/Zombies/Hordes/. Relax people......
 
once the power shuts down forget about BUYING anything, tills these days don't have manual over ride and besides the automatic doors and elevators wont work either, along with traffic lights and filling station pumps and loads of other things, the 21st century only functions when its got electric, its called "putting all your eggs in one basket", when that fails so does modern life.
 
Very much so, the preppers in Europe think that Spain is the better choice to Bug out. They have the least amount of computerised businesses there. You can still pay with cash if the eletronics die. Not the best weather, too hot for me, not lots of water at the moment, too many big gardeners (like California) using more than their share...

The problem with "what if" is what if ? Going into a compromise is the first step to giving up on your determination that you are right.....
We say in the Army (and elsewhere) never ASSUME anything. You make an ASS out of U and ME. Prep for the worst and hope for the best. GP
 
Where I live every business operates on cash. Not everyone here uses cards, most use only cash. Most people and businesses here have back up generators too. If the power went out for months then of course most people would run of fuel. I think most people here would get by with trading and bartering if there's ever a long term SHTF. There's more horses in this county than people so transportation wouldn't be much of a problem. Far more cattle than people too.

The problem is that any one of these could "snowball," and all of a sudden you have a national disaster on your hands. Particularly riots...wouldn't take a whole lot for a major riot to go national.

The problem is, animals kill for food or out of self-sustainance, sometimes in self-defense. Only humans are known to kill for fun, boredom or outright ignorance.
Any and every reason is a good enough reason for the dumbest. If the defecatation hits the ventilation, it will because of the few dumbest in the politics (again) and the rest of us will have to bail it out (again) die for them (again) work for the peace (again) and rebuild it all (again). After the French revolution, the Rich and Royal of the European world, realised that it could also happen in England, Germany, Denmark and where-ever there were still kings/queens. So they dug up an old idea from Greece...it
was called democracy, over 2000 years old. Make the people think they have the power by letting them vote for their new king and queen every few years...
They still send our children to war, imput taxes for the stupidest things, live in their palaces and laugh at the riff raff. Used to be called monarchy, now it is
called democracy. Kind of like taking the sugar out of the stuff we eat/drink and putting in ASPARTAM:(google that). New name, same ****.

Sorry about that! Realistically thinking, what do you think would happen if, say, a major riot in , say, LA spilled over into WHITE neighborhoods, and the Blacks just decided, "Hey, why not?" Then the idea is picked up in Chicago, N.Y., Philly, Baltimore, Miami, Atlanta, etc., etc. Where do you think that would end up? Or let the power go out over, say, a third of the country, and it happens to be a third that has ultra-high welfare/food stamp enrollment....like the Northeastern U.S.? And the power stays off for a couple months...no welfare checks, no food stamps, etc. That would result in nationwide "protests/demonstrations," and it's all downhill from there. Never mind all the OTHER bubbles that could burst at any time.
 
Well, you're damn right again, VJ. If the power goes out, it will only take a few days of no A/C and cold beer to start the riots. In winter they would probably a have sex to stay warm or just freeze to death...who controls the food or power or water or guns or, or, or, whatever: controls the masses. Scary huh? GP
 
scary thoughts gentlemen, but the truth is usually scary. I have 14 different means to cook in my pantry, not to mention the wood fire method. All of them give me a
method to produce heat. Live near the woods. Got solar, with an Infrared heating panel of 800 Watts. Two wood fire stoves to cook and bake. My house has 18 inch
thick walls made of cob, warm in winter and cool in summer. The west side is 75 feet long with 72 window panes to let the sun in. I use the compost to heat the garage and the swimming pool. (running water through the compost to get it warm). 60 ft deep well and 3600 square feet of garden. Have enough room for the kids/grandkids, but that is where it stops. I could support the whole family but not the neighbors or strangers. Unless they were willing to the the hardest work in the garden?? Live free, GP

Thanx, it is my pride and joy. With a chicken coop, pig pen, wine grapes and wine cellar. Since 2017, the laws have been changed to get the bad quality of moonshine
off the market. Now, everybody! may make their own moonshine, up to 50 liters can be on hand at one time for own use. Over the level is really expensive fines. I am waiting for a judgement from the courts here against the Workers Union. After an on-the-job accident, I might be able to go into early retirement and leave Germany...GP
