You are making (negative) changes, every time you purchase something that is not all natural. Now I have no problem with consumerism but then I am not bitching about the environment and the problems of the planet. Want to do the "Smart Thing" for the planet, buy draft animals, all wooden wagons and use that that to haul your tools and equipment to you jobs. Oh wait, most (all) of your tools are not made from natural materials and of course none of your supplies are all natural. But then because your think / feel "Something" has to be done, that makes up for you continuing to use and buy things that required planet harming methods to manufacture. Name one technology that does not harm the Planet, bet you can't. So what are you going to do, continue whining or just use the best you can and quit complaining about what you are not fixing. Liberals always want somebody else to fix the problem. They want to complain about a problem. BUT they are not going to bite the bullet themselves. At least I am honest. I am a consumers and my purchases does contribute to possibly harming the planet. Such is life in the big city. I will live with it. There is a difference in looking for better technology vs. complaining about the existing technology, that you are using, and have not found a superior replacement. One method is called research and the other is called whining. If you have found a better technology great, share it. If you just want 'Something" better list is as "Would It be nice if" category.
