I just read where YETI (the company with coolers and cups for camping etc.) have cut ties with the NRA.

Just off the top of my head, I would say that most of the YETI customers who are out in the wild, own guns for their safety.

As we says in he South "they are cutting off their nose to spite their face).

I just wonder how old the decision makers are at YETI?

I was planning on buying a couple Yeti's. A large one for the boat and a medium size one for traveling. Not now!
Also heard that Dick's quit selling what they call "assult rifles". They plan on crushing the ones they have in stock rather than returning them to the manufacturer. I'll never step foot in Dick's again, nor buy a Yeti product. F#@$ing cowards are shitting on the people who built these companies. Let the sissy snowflakes support them.

Wow, now that is a new level of stupid. On the other hand, the gun makers will get full payment for every one of those weapons, so all the better for them. And doing that will only help the gun makers with profits. In fact it sounds so foolish that it may not be true... who knows.

For Yeti, good for them! They run their company, they decide what they want to do. They revolutionized the cooler industry to make coolers that actually stay cold & are rugged, great ideas. And they decided their stuff was gold plated & priced it accordingly, so competition stepped up and are eating their lunch.

So maybe Yeti is trying to 'differentiate' themselves from everyone else & corner the hug-a-tree customers? They are in a shrinking marketshare, so why not give up what they can't keep to lock in what they can? We know the hug-a-tree group aren't the brightest and will support stupid moves like this.

They've had good ideas, and the market took their $50 insulated aluminum cups & made it a $10 product that performs just as well. And their $500 cooler & sell equivalents for $150. But if they can lock in a set of customers who want their product at 3 times the price because they 'are lefties', sure, whatever. Their company, their choice. My wallet, my choice. It'll work out one way or another.

Wallmart sells Ozark Trail coolers and insulated tumblers that I believe are made in the same factory as Yeti.

I've seen numerous reviews where the reviewers tested Ozark Trail and Yeti side by side and they performed identically. There other cheap knockoffs that are of inferior quality, but as far as I can tell there is zero quality difference between Ozark Trail and Yeti.

I made my opinion very clear to Yeti, go to their website and click contact, I sent them an email. Since they no longer support the Constitution of the United States of America and are caving in to the current whims of the popular opinion that I would make my opinion well known to them and to everyone that will listen to me, or even not listen. Shoot, I don't care but I am telling everyone that Yeti has no backbone. My brother wrote them he was taking out his cooler and blasting a bunch of holes in it. They are supposed to be for outdoors people, sure right. There are many brands out there just as good if not better and for a lot less money. Just google Yeti competitors or Best cooler reviews and you can find some good stuff. Just ticks me off to no end. Traitors is what they are.

Today I went to the big city to pick up my tiller at the Fedex depot. After loading the tiller I found that Cabela's was only a couple miles away, and of course I had to stop. I asked the manager if they were going to discontinue the Yeti product line since they caved to the anti gun nuts. He told me "no". He said that they didn't sell many Yeti's anyway because they were over priced and made in China. While the Cabela's brand was made in the USA. That alone sold me on the Cabela's brand, but at least I let him know that I was dissatisfied with Cabelas for continuing their relationship with Yeti.
While at Cabela's I bought a new kayak, and all the stuff that goes along with it.

Looks like YETI is standing with the second amendment after all. You can see what they have on their facebook page. But, I like the idea that Cabellas is made in America and that is good enough for me.

Seems that they(YETI) wrote my relative back and said that they are supporting the second amendment and that they offered the NRA another promotional offer that was refused. Decide for yourself but I like the idea that Cabellas is made in America, so that is what I am doing.

The Wife purchased me a set of the silver one's (4) the package on sale for $12 and the large camo cup Ozark Trails on sale for $5.99, these cups are a main stay with me now, my Son has yeti cup and both are no different from one another in terms of keeping the coffee hot, I've seen Ozark coolers and they are nice the people that have them and the yeti's cooler won't buy another yeti cooler with Ozark being cheaper for the same cooler.

The only difference I can tell between the 20 ounce tumblers, and I have inspected them closely, is the shape near the bottom. The Ozark Trail fits my car and truck cupholders, the Yeti doesn't. The only difference between the lids is that the Ozark Trail lids are smoked and the Yeti are clear. They are completely interchangeable.

Dick's says they support the 2A but look what the do while supporting the 2A, yeti is just like dick's, this isn't the first time dick's did that, both yeti and dick's want it both ways, they are going to have to pick sides and the did. They assume we are all stupid, this just proves they have no idea who there customer base are and shows they have no idea how important the 2A is to the Constitution. Fxxk em!

I have a ice chest that i found in the middle of the road 3 or 4 years ago. Only problem with it.is a crack on the outside only.and its well insulated.so i won't be buying one any time soon.

Yeti information inaccurate or backtracking? Hmm

The NRA notified its members that Yeti, the makers of high-end coolers and other products, was cutting ties with the NRA. While the information was not accurate, gun-toting advocates are boycotting the company online by destroying their Yeti products.

Is that gonna help gun owners look any better? Doesn’t make a lot of sense to protest by blowing up something you’ve paid for, when not buying from them again would make more sense....
