and then you go and ruin it by putting Burger King on there!!!!:p

Is it the noodles or the sauce? Because pasta sauce can be made from all sorts of things. My wife can't eat pasta with tomato sauce, like spaghetti, but can eat pasta with pesto and Alfredo sauce.
maybe its the tomato sauce, I prefer brown sauce, I cant stomach spaghetti either. like I said i'm a traditional Englishman, give me meat and 2 veg any day.

I’m making spaghetti pie today. Normally I cook a traditional ham for the Easter holiday but still have bags of sliced ham from the last one in the freezer. I have a large bowl of baby spinach from thinning the plants yesterday too and will do something with that. Oh, and some more of the portobello mushrooms will get marinated and roasted too, along with some garlic bread. I really like this thread, beats the heck out of politics and religion!
The only thing I would like more is if everyone shared the recipe for their better meals.

Good idea on recipes. Even more so on alternative recipes for after SHTF, when some ingredients may be scarce or not available.

I roasted a whole chicken injected with a garlic butter sauce and Tex Joy's Rooster Booster, mashed potatoes, boiled in chicken broth with chopped onions, garlic and carrots. Once softened drain and add in cream cheese, butter, salt and pepper and dill weed. Sauteed brussel sprouts with onion, garlic and bacon, green beans and then made an Old Fashioned Syrup Cake using cane syrup a neighbor gave me with a sugar glaze frosting. Granny loved it. . . . I asked how she was doing during dessert time. . . just fine, but you cant have my dessert. . . This was the first time I made this one. It was just ok in my opinion. I think I might do it again but I will need to add in a riser like baking powder. It was just too dense for me.

You can't be asking people to give out classified information ;) Well, the truth is I don't exactly have recipes a lot of times - I know how to make things but it's kind of taste as I go and make it right. Your dinner sounds delicious though. I didn't eat anything tonight - horrible migraines with nausea take away my appetite :eek: Now I'm feeling a little better and y'all are making me hungry but it's really too late to eat. I shouldn't have come to this thread :D It certainly is better than politics and religion though.

Sorry about the migraines.
As far as throwing out the recipes;
Cooked Spaghetti noodles get coated in 2 egg whites, a little bit of olive oil, garlic and onion powder and Parmesan cheese. Toss in a bowl and evenly coat. Spread in the bottom of a greased oven dish. Cover with cottage cheese, then cover that with your meat sauce. Bake at 350 for 20 mins., and layer with mozzarella, baking for 10 more mins.
I used the leftover spaghetti and sauce from the fridge, and figure everyone here allready knows how to make their favorite sauce so left that out. It ended up really good and got me interested in finishing the leftover spaghetti. Oh, accompanied by a piece of split French bread, lightly buttered with garlic powder and shredded mozzarella cheese, then toasted beside the pie for those last ten minutes.

I'm planning an after SHTF meal. Kudzu root , dried and ground to make a gravy. Saw palmetto hearts, onions, turnips, peppers to make a squirrel stew. Edible plants and weeds for a salad. With a wild BlackBerry, raspberry viniger dressing. Ill bake a pan flat bread made from kudzu root, oil and water, sugar, salt.

I will let everyone know how it comes out.
