I don’t believe anyone is even close to being able to take on our military without mutual anialation. All I can say though is always be smart enough to know when to fight, and when to surrender or run when needed. Standing and fighting a loosing battle just dosent make sense to me. Always survive first, you can come back later that way to fight again.

I guess I forgot to mention that it’s pretty much just the US vs everyone. My thinking is it could happen, I don’t know if I really trust our POTUS wouldn’t do something so boneheaded that it pisses off the rest of the world. Or maybe a civil war.

There are plenty of scenarios that could change our world quickly. Loosing the grid would be the number one on my list. Most preppers would still survive, although majorly inconvenienced, but the masses would be lost almost immediately. I know most here on this conservative site really like trump, but I see him causing all kinds of trouble down the road. Kind of like a bull in a china shop thing....

Brent, Brent, Brent, are you still on this "Trump is bad" kick? Trump is responsible for the best economy that we've ever seen, record high stock market, record low unemployment rates and great trade deals. Turn off the Hate Trump news networks and open your eyes. I don't see any indication that Trump is going to cause any trouble down the road. Come out of the darkness and see the light.

I don’t watch the news, or any tv actually. But I keep getting notifications for the POTUS tweeting some hate towards Democrats, and some other high school like comments. I’m neither Democrat or Republican. I vote for who I believe would be a good leader for the United States. I voted for Trump to be president but I didn’t know I was voting in someone who acts like a high school girl on social media. Im not trying to ruffle feathers with this comment either, just saying how I currently feel.

I'm not really being too serious here. I just like poking our favorite token liberal. But Trump's accomplishments are undisputable.
And as far as Trump's comments go, he just says what most of us think. I'll proudly vote for him again. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for more Socialism.

Trump pissed off those that are not living up to their countries commitments. Yeah the NATO countries that do NOT spend the agreed and required amount on their national defense but want us to have us carry the financial burden. The the U.N. countries that have not paid their full dues or financial commitments but continue to demand support money from us , while continuing to vote against us. As for all the name calling, you should read about all the nasty things the Democrats and liberal medial call him. Judge President Trump by what he has gotten accomplished, nothing else matters. Obama was an elegant speaker and nearly ruined our nation. Action and results, the bottom line is where our judgment should be concerned. The political Correct crowd is pretty words with not substance. I will vote to re-elect this president and vote out as many RHINO's as possible.

No problem Mike, we all tend to drift for topic specifics but we will also return to it in time. As for me and your topic. I would play the model cowered citizen and then ambush as many invader as possible. Home ground advantage will pay big dividends. Would I openly attack (pitched battles) the invaders, nope. Old guy, we know our limitations, but they need to remember, Just because you are out of sight, does not mean you are out of range". I am now good for 1,000 yards.

Mike, good topic that got a little sidetracked. At this time, I am not sure I can reply to your scenario. I, like Urbanprep, am getting up in the years so frontal confrontation, is generally out of the question. I also have kids and grandkids so I would first do what I can to see that they are safe.
So much depends upon what is happening locally. Would I pick up and move the family to where I am or would I move my stuff to their location. Cannot answer that without knowing what the situation is.
Either way, your scenario is very thought provoking. That is type of thing we really need to force us to plan for the worse.

Thank you! I like to provoke deep thoughts into conversations. And surprisingly enough the funny thing is, I started prepping after I started to watch The Walking Dead. But I didn’t know I was a prepper until I watched Doomsday Preppers. After that show it provoked a lot of thoughts of what I should do to prep.

I also have the same thinking as you for this.
Mike, if your scenario was to be true, Down Under we would already be invaded, or about to be.
I still wear the green, so I'm in with a loaded mag, and hopefully an abundance of targets.
If we wave the white flag, I doing my "Red Dawn Down Under" scenario.
