I'm trying to stock up on ammunition, and get together a big list of supplies that i can start collecting just to be ready. Trying to find a list on here of things that i can start stocking up on. Your guys's replies have been great though!

Is this really from last year? Man, I'm behind...

A few of mine:

1. Getting in better shape (diet, exercise, etc.)
2. Starting the veggie garden (including the fencing) in Feb.
3. Starting the Koi pond and herb garden in Feb.
4. Building the chicken coup/run in Mar.
5. More rain barrels and using one in garden.
6. Get a diesel generator (before the end of 2014)
7. Get a nice hunting rifle (before the end of 2014, likely as a Christmas present)

1. Eh, not so much, though I am doing some things better. Work in progress.
2. Starting it THIS Feb. at least.
3. Same here, starting THIS Feb./Mar.
4. This is done at least. Our chickens pretty much give us about 2 dozen eggs a week.
5. Will be putting one in the garden once into our rainy season (I have to see the best location once a heavy rain hits).
6. Plan changed to Solar-powered well pump and eventually getting propane generator for the house. (though won't be this year).
7. Christmas was tighter this year than planned, so rifle will have to wait. Sometime this year, but just depends on finding a good deal from a private owner.

So, for this year. (road to Hell is paved with good intentions)

1. Start ManCave project in Jan. (finish majority of it in Feb, other related mini-projects by end of Apr)
2. Rabbit Habitat in Jan. (converting horse stall, has to be done, have supplies already)
3. Prep Garden in Jan. (plant in Feb)
4. Herb Garden/Koi Pond in Mar. (I did get the supplies for it already)
5. Solar-powered well pump by end of year 2015.
6. Rifle by end of year 2015.
7. Create back patio in Feb.
8. Put in a partially sunk above-ground pool in June, with deck.
9. Split main pasture with fence by end of year 2015.
10. Paint exterior of house and garage by end of year 2015.
11. Paint interior wall murals (Dining Room by end of Jan, Living Room by end of Feb, Master Bedroom by end of Mar, Ranch hand's room by end of April).

At least I already have most of the muraling paint. Just finding the time to actually do it. Luckily, pretty much everyone in the household is a pretty decent artist, so lots of helpers here. Odd how that is, but true. I'm probably the best artist all around of the household, with my daughter as a very close second (and she's better at freehand people than I am). My son is third (though not a "neat" artist), but just barely, followed by my wife (though she is an excellent painter of detail). Our pseudo-daughter (ranch hand) is pretty good too (especially with painting). My wife has more muraling experience though, than the "kids".

1. Find like minded people when I move back to canada.
2. Get my pal so I can buy firearms and ammo
3. build up one month of food for the family
4. Learn new skills like how to light a fire with friction

Need to stock up on ammo, get my IFAK in order, and get another rifle by the end of 2015. I'd also like to get my CCL but hopefully Constitutional Carry passes here in Texas (pester your reps people, this is a big one) and then I won't have to pay for two licenses.

My 2014 list was completed December 29th and that was expanding my first aid kit now just waiting for the orders to arrive. 2015 nothing special other then maintain my preps, I really don't need anything though I may indulge on some of my prep want's that may pop up from time to time.

Progress so far on Jan. Projects.

1. ManCave area is cleaned up, and I have a detailed list of steps and in what order. Mostly, I need to put up a false wall over a set of glass doors, then take out the built in bar along the wall (will eventually have a standing bar instead). Then, paint, flooring, lighting, and decor. So far on track for end of Feb.

2. All materials gathered/purchased for the bunny habitat. Trouble now is finding a weekend day to work on it nonstop. May have to spread it out instead. I'm a little behind on this one.

3. Garden area is cleaned out, except I need to have a fridge hauled off (or haul it myself). Still need to prep though.
