Location
Washington State - between 2 mountains and a river
We are locked in, all roads are closed due to flooding and slides and now the State main artery I-5 has been hit with a slide, they are talking a week possibly two for our road to open, My son has had to evac his home due to flooding, my daughter was stuck in a town over with two kids both my son n laws hauled there quads down to the train tracks 15 miles away and used the quads to ride the line roughly over 20 miles to the town to get the daughter and grand kids and bring them home. All are safe.

Just another day in the Pacific Northwest

One of our slides affecting our road 8 miles from our place.

that looks bad enough where id stay away from it..good thing them folks turned back.instead of trying to go through..

whew, glad you and your family are okay.
looks like it goes along the line;you can live with nature but never conquer it...

we have only rain here,it's supposed to be snow by now,but no no. that river close to me is quite full already and the surrounding forrest floor is saturated with water.
let's say I'm lucky this place is located on a hill and it's 600 yds to the river and way below me :)

We had over a foot of snow and then it warmed up and rained 4" and had high winds. For around here that is over a months worth of rain in one day. No serious flooding yet but everything's a muddy mess. Water is over my road in many places and starting to wash out, and it's almost too muddy to drive all the way in. If it doesn't freeze up soon I won't be able to access my place except by ATV or on foot. Drove up to my backup BOL last night (30 miles away and 5 mile access road) and same thing, muddy, high water, slides and washouts. One tree was across the road but managed to get the Jeep around.

Ya, luckily the earthquake was small and the tornado uprooted some trees, damaged some roofs and destroyed a few out bldgs but not my location (tornado that is) all it did was knock the power out that since been restored the two things that really affecting us is floods and slides just bad timing it being at the same time uncomfortably so. We playing it safe enjoying each other's company at home :)
