IMHO, Taiwan is playing this correctly. By sharing their masks and other products, they are winning the hearts of the rest of the world. Taiwan has a large manufacturing base (just look at all the made in Taiwan labels) and if they converted this over to making the safety supplies for the rest of the world, then they will gain a lot is international support when China tries to convince the world that they own Taiwan.
Taiwan has done just about everything right on this since the beginning. They ran the numbers early on and saw what was coming and tried to warn WHO, but WHO wouldn't even talk to them.

Taiwan is definitely trying to gain favor and legitimacy with the world but honestly I have nothing but admiration for them. They are hardworking and intelligent.

They are hardworking and intelligent.

Yes they are. Small businesses there flourish like they SHOULD in the US because they don't have all the red tape we have here. Cottage industries are everywhere in Taiwan. When people sit around at night watching TV, the whole family from youngsters to granny are doing piece work for some company. My brother in law runs an air conditioning repair shop out of his garage.

Teaching is the most highly respected profession.

One of the main reasons my wife's family readily accepted me was because I was in graduate school.

Did it come from the Wuhan labs?
The plot thickens...

The Trail Leading Back to the Wuhan Labs
It is understandable that many would be wary of the notion that the origin of the coronavirus could be discovered by some documentary filmmaker who used to live in China. Matthew Tye, who creates YouTube videos, contends he has identified the source of the coronavirus — and a great deal of the information that he presents, obtained from public records posted on the Internet, checks out.

WTF hell, proof the UN needs defunded, disbanded and kicked out of the US

China wins seat on UN Human Rights Council panel despite troubling record, response to coronavirus

China has won a seat on a panel on the controversial U.N. Human Rights Council, where it will help vet candidates for important posts -- despite its decades-long record of systematic human rights abuse that the U.S. has said fueled the coronavirus pandemic.

Russian Doctor Detained After Challenging Virus Figures
MOSCOW — Russian authorities detained the leader of an independent doctors’ union, an outspoken critic of the Kremlin who has dismissed as “lies” the country’s low official numbers for coronavirus infections.

Anastasia Vasilieva, the head of the Alliance of Doctors, was stopped by the police on Thursday and held overnight while traveling from Moscow to an impoverished rural town to deliver masks, gloves and other supplies to a local hospital, a colleague who was traveling with her said.

Coronavirus: People in 30s and 40s 'increasingly becoming severe victims of Covid-19'
More and more young people are becoming critically ill after contracting coronavirus, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned.

Some of these victims have no underlying health conditions and have needed intensive care.

Speaking at a press conference in Geneva yesterday, Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, WHO’s coronavirus technical lead, said: “We are seeing more and more younger individuals who are experiencing severe disease.

“I should say, overall, most of the people who are experiencing severe disease and ending up in ICU are people of older age, and are people who have underlying conditions.

“But what we are seeing in some countries, individuals who are in their 30s, 40s and 50s who are in ICUs and have died."

This virus seems to be all over the map. First we hear it is only the very old 80+ or those with this or that comorbidity that should be concerned. And young people are safe. Now it is hitting teens and those in their 20s. First China and WHO tells us that it doesn’t spread person to person. Then they say oh it does, but it’s not very deadly. Now we know it spreads like wildfire and who the heck knows who it is going kill!

Just remember that 80% of cases are mild, and the vast majority of serious cases are people over 60 with underlying health issues. Yes, there are young people that get and die from this, but it’s not Nearly as common for them. Who knows if they had other unknown issues too. As far as the spread goes, they were stupid to assume it wasn’t as easily spread as it is. I really liked TF’s analogy of the snake post. If you see a snake and don’t know what it is it’s wise to assume it’s poisonous. Especially with how fast this thing spread across the world they should have assumed it was much more easily transmissible right from the first. Now they are learning more about it it’s a little late... I don’t think the virus has changed but the response to it and the recommendations were way off on a lot a lot of it.

This is why I am leaning toward an Agenda 21 event. Within a few months it has turned into 8 different strains? The sporadic way it showed up is odd to me. Just feels more like biowarfare testing to me, while simultaneously getting to "trim the fat" of our population that is living on SS/Disability/pensions. On top of that the fleecing of future taxpayers by those voting in trillions of dollars in "help". Yeah.

The whole things stinks to me.

Taiwan Donates 2M More Masks to the U.S. for Coronavirus Battle
Taiwan this week announced it will donate two million more masks to the United States, continuing its humanitarian support for its allies during the coronavirus pandemic.

In total, Taiwan is donating ten million masks to the U.S., the European Union member states and other European nations, and diplomatic allies.

“Undertaken in the spirit of ‘Taiwan can help!’ and accompanied by a call for greater international cooperation, this constitutes Taiwan’s first large-scale humanitarian assistance initiative in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak,” a statement from Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Taiwan’s two million mask donation is in addition to the 100,000 masks per week provided to the U.S. The donations are under the Taiwan-U.S. epidemic prevention cooperation framework, the statement said.

‘Complete collapse of economies’ ahead as Africa faces virus
With some governments saying they’re unable to offer direct support, the fate of Africa’s large informal sector could be a powerful example of what experts predict will be unprecedented damage to economies in the developing world. Among the millions made jobless are casual laborers, petty traders, street vendors, mechanics, taxi operators and conductors, housekeepers and waitresses, and dealers in everything from used clothes to construction hardware.

Unless the virus’ spread can be controlled, up to 50% of all projected job growth in Africa will be lost as aviation, services, exports, mining, agriculture and the informal sector all take a hit, Eziakonwa said.

“We will see a complete collapse of economies and livelihoods. Livelihoods will be wiped out in a way we have never seen before,” she warned.

I’m afraid this won’t be just limited to the African economies.
