Your right, it is imperative people learn gardening and foraging, in 5yrs live stock and wild life will be decimated unless way way out from populated areas, I wish I could stock 5yrs worth of food but that's unrealistic for me, I have enough food just in case I couldn't get my garden in in the first year.

I'm far enough out from any city never mind a large city, in a fairly remote area that the wild life might just have a chance to recover, I cant say the same for the farm animals.at the moment we probably have about 9 months-1 year of stored food plus what is growing in the garden, I slowly increase the stocks as I can but we have a storage problem....small modern house !! wife is a country girl, farmer and herbalist which is a plus.

Due to the star fort of my 'clan's' in swartberg. It has severely view points we are looking for artillery pieces other than the six knee mortars and twelve shovel mortars. There isn't much to patrol and with 38 bedrooms over the two top floors there is a lot to see. The star itself is small enough for six to eight people to patrol at a time but the vehicles being the problem we have five tonnes of diesel and petrol stored (the garage smells like a petrol head) we don't really have a problem for long distances.

Presuming wemail do run out we have a huge collection of batteries which we can equip to the cars all of which are charged by a device which I cannot mention but it provides close on twelve volts per second.
