I cheat and buy ready spiced vinegar.;) then add one or two extras as I feel the need. It's usually Dill and Garlic.

I don't know if this has much to do with prepping, but I feel good about finishing a part of a project here. I just finished installing the doors in my sons place on the property. I had to custom make the due to the roof angle upstairs. Tomorrow I will install more trim, and shortly will start building cabinets.

Great job on the doors!

I can finish it just fine, but am probably the slowest person around! I've seen crews of Hispanic guys do a whole house in two days, hanging and finishing. I'm more like two days on each room.... I can gladly give you tips on how to make it easyier though, just not much with speed! beer, ribs and good company is tempting though!

No. I'm slower. I doesn't help that I hate doing it, either.

The guy I usually get fell off his stilts and is down for a while. He can do a great job without even looking at what he's doing...

Well things went well, we will be moving soon. 2 story green offgrid home. Shed-workshop with covered area, root cellar. Got just over 100 acres, natural spring fed ponds, solar power system, wood burning stove, 500 gal. Propane tank, 2 fireplaces, 2 acre garden below pond, gravity fed irrigation. 5 acres of pasture all on side of mountain 1500'+ above sea level. It's loaded with hard woods. There is a buried telephone line com8ng in, but nothing else. Will ad a satellite dish, another 500gal Propane tank and a truckload of coal. It has refrigerator/freezer and a high efficiency washer and gas dryer and gas generator. I will also have to add more solar panels and batteries. I'll need to built a barn and chicken coop.
So much work to do now.

Congratulations! Sounds like a great space.

plan on doing our primary shopping today.in which, i'll be cutting back on what i'll be buying,in the way of food.untill my mom gets home,or what ever.i also hear that harbor fright has hand operated hand pump, thats mainly made for decoration.but yet.still works.so i'll be looking into them.especilly seeing how they'll be getting new merchandise in.and that means 96% off of what they have today.last day of sidewalk/parking lot sale..

I didn't know what tannerite was till I googled it. Sounds like a blast to play with..... is it legal to own?

You can have up too 50lbs total of mixed (ready to use) tannerite though don't go ordering 50lbs or bulk ready to use single orders, I think one might end up with a visit. it's easy to make, as long as you have the two ingredient separated you can have as much as you want but if mixed, only 50lbs max.

i already knew that it's a ecplosive.and that a high powered rifle can be used to set it off."but"..i didn't know that a person can get a recipe for it..i just did a search on it.:)
