what do you do,,,for me I have plans for a new house that I am in the process of changing the design,if things go south before it is ready,I become a cave dweller and revert back to nature and live off the land,now in my area that is a easy plan to follow but everyone does not live out in the boonies,,,,,,WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF YOU

We are set already here with or without power and fuel, we already do a lot of foraging for food to compliment our gardens and live stock, we also have a BOL if the need should ever arise. In a perfect SHTF we are ready thus given nothing is perfect we will play it by ear and adapt. We also have many upon many caves here and I have mapped a good number. Luckily we don't have a people problem (yet) so for the mean time we are as secured as we can get short of an all out military campaign against us.

That's the thing, prepping is a life style and always evolving with situations being as dynamic as they are thus I think is the reason people give up so easily for the young and old alike.

Remember the guy from San Diego on the forums a few years ago prepping for the big one, re-enforced house on the coast, big bloody F250 fully tricked out as BOV, Genny, Pumps, MREs galore totally focused and 100% ready for the 9.5 quake that would turn AZ into beach front property, Then a near by forest fire stripped away the local tree cover and a landslip not long after wiped out his house !!. Nearly ready YUP, totally ready NEVER.

That always been my fear and on several occasions already had to evac, on more occasions it was due to smoke, our house is pretty protected but the barns are not.

I have been a rampant survivalist and prepper since 1979 and I now know I will NEVER be ready, just that bit more switched on and self relint than the sheeple and entitlement classes.

Just like in martial arts, in survival it is hard to create the same stress level as the real thing. I have a 60sec plan (basically a fire plan) and a 60 minute plan written down. However when a neighbor had a fire with black smoke billowing out the window, all I could think about was to run up stairs to get my spouse out, then I grabbed a fire extinguisher and went into my neighbors place and put out the fire. Like cops to a shooting, the fire department arrived after I had the fire out.

Hard to remember what is written on a full sheet of paper under stress lol.

PS: Putting out someone else's fire was not written on my 60sec plan.

man when Trump won it was a huge relief ,I did not think he had much of a chance to be honest,with Clinton I figure we had a year max before the bombs would be dropping ,,,I don't know about the rest of you but I was not ready for nukes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

They are still in our future don't get to comfortable....But then again I see Trump being impeached before the end of his first year.
