On this and every anniversary of 911, I think of how we never know and how we all need to prep for the unknown.

So many evacuating down the stairs would have loved to have a flashlight. I always keep a small one in my purse. Small things such as this are taken for granted until needed.

And let us not forget the true heroes who died in the Pennsylvania crash. They prevented a much greater disaster. That aircraft was on its way to Pennsylvania Avenue. When you KNOW you're going to die but keep on fighting to prevent an even greater disaster, THAT is true heroism.

So the jets that scrambled to go after Flight 93 were not armed at all. There only weapon was to ram the plane.

I didn't know that until today. They are showing the pilots on the History Channel. Said there wasn't time to arm the missiles.

Me and a Co Worker were on Our way to Nashville to help one of Our Companies operating units that needed straightened out that morning . We heard about the first plane and kind of joked about some flight controller going to be in trouble but then the 2nd and it was plain what had happened . Work sent Us on a flight not long afterwards for a training seminar . The National Guard was guarding the airport and I got to close to a alternate exit and They made Us go back through the metal detector and screening .
The years fly by .
