Please feel free to move this to another area. I want to prepare some things for BOB and for buried storage - surplus and extras. I am shopping for a vacuum food packer to help package things. A recent trip to wallies world seemed to indicate that the machines that hold rolls of bags - the rolls are made up of 12" bags that are connected to each other. I want to be able to seal, for example, my 10/22, so am looking for some way to do this. Any suggestions?

Wow! Good responses, though the bags are a little bit pricey. I have seen some mylar bags that are big enough for my rifles that are only $2. The bags will have the silica stuff in them. Each rifle and bag of ammo has its own box already so durable is not so important

I have a Foodsaver unit, you can get rolls that are one long tube you cut to the size you need. The material is tough but not cut proof so pad and sharp edges, you might also want to seal it 2 or 3 times.
