You're so lucky! I may have to try leaving a few plants at the end of the season to see if I can get it happening here.

The weather was good today so I planted out the Garlic and did a bit more tidying. The sun came out and I even took my jacket off.:)

I googled the old farmers almanac today about planting potatoes and peanuts. Both are over 5 weeks away for planting times. Damn, I already cut my potatoes up for planting. I had half the greenhouse tilled and ready so I decided to fill that with potatoes. I still have close to half a bag of them that will go in the regular garden and take their chances with another frost. At least potatoes will handle some cold spells. I will wait before experimenting with the peanuts though.

Offspring and I spent some time out today, He got a weedy area cleared and I sowed a couple of rows of peas. Not that I want to, but I need to get the weekiller out and see off the Horseradish, that stuff is so invasive and is popping up everywhere so I'm going to nuke it!

No!!! I love horseradish.

I wish you luck on the horseradish. . . it burrows deep in the ground, not sure if weed killer will get it all. Its like dollar weed and if you leave just a tiny root, it will continue to sprout. Depending on how old, it may have a very hard root to dig completely up.

I managed to dig some out last year, but I had a look in my gardening book and it was recommended to use a systemic weedkiller on it. I'll just keep at it until it doesn't come back. I know it's not going to be an easy fight.
I sowed beans today in trays. Both climbing beans, Blue Lake and Borlotti. The Garlic is looking great and the onions are sprouting. The broad beans I planted out last week are looking good. I did wonder if the pigeons would have them, but I met our exterminator for the first time yesterday, a big grey tomcat. He definitely thinks he owns the place!

Another day, some more work done.:)
Sowed a row of Carrots, Parsnips and Beetroot.
