As for the wonderful US of A and its second amendment, whilst the right to keep and bare arms is a very good thing I honestly believe their is going to be a shitfest of uncontrolled violence when TSHTF as various individuals (1) settle scores (2) try to take what they want (3) try to keep what is theirs (4) try to take from others (5) try to move onto someone elses property etc etc. I still say the 12 year old kid with his Little Chiappa 22LR single shot hiding in the grass near his home only has to be lucky once. whilst the black rifle equipped predator who trespasses will find himself out of luck.

I think that the shitfest of violence will occur with or without guns being present. Where the guns aren't present, it will be conducted with blades and blunt objects. Where blades aren't present it will be conducted with blunt objects.

The difference is, a 12 year old kid with his 22 has a much better chance of survival in a world with guns than a kid with a baseball bat (or cricket bat :) ) in a world without guns. Without guns, physical prowess will rule, and the young, the weak, the old, and females will be at a severe disadvantage.

As the saying goes: "God created man, but Sam Colt made them equal"

Agreed my most wise friend so we should be teaching our 12 year olds not only to shoot, but how to use a bow in silence and how the woods and the night are his bestest friend. But I still think your wonderful country is going to have a real shitfest of gun violence for a while.

Anyone here thats prior or current military knows what ROE is or Rules of Engagement. But I thought this article was good. Have a read:

Great post. This should be required reading for all high school students in America.

I'm of the mindset not to trust anyone. Unfortunately without teamwork you won't stand a chance. I do think being selective of who you let in based on their skills and assets is wise.

Pretty much the challenge, isn't it?

this is simple, there are no rules,it is dog eat dog, when out I avoid all people,I allow no one on my land if they do not back off and leave you put them down like you would a rabid dog,,,,you probably should anyways chances are they will come back

It's not the one's that truly prepared that's of sound mind we should be concerned about. Look at how many of working age people that are on the government dole 30% though I think the numbers are higher (feds numbers 2014) then add the people that are not but never bothered to prepare, by FEMA's study 60% of the nation don't have a clue to the dangers that don't even have basic necessities for short term impacts, that's 210 million people. By estimates there are just 3 million preppers in the US, out of those preppers how many are prepared for long term events, I would say less than half? In a TEOTWAWKI/SHTF there are no rules of engagement, the priority is avoidance thus stay away from the masses, think of them as a mutated blood sucking zombies with a touch of locusts. The hungry will strip the land amongst suburban and city and follow the blacktop until nothing is left like a locusts, at some point they will start venturing out into rural areas and I'll leave it with the following 'dead men don't talk' Always keep in the back of the mind, hungry humans are the most dangerous animals to be encountered. Like a wild animal, they are fine until you stop feeding them!

Another concern, there are 13.7 million hunters in this Country by government numbers, it will be some of these folks that may be a problem to us folks out in the boonies, trust is not an option in an TEOTWAWKI/SHTF event, anyone with a mouth can talk! As an o'l kids rule 'stranger danger'

If one must forge a relationship with other groups don't divulge to anyone your entire stock nor all your BOLs and always have a cut in the wire unbeknown to anyone except you.
