Those are field survey meters CD V-71x variance medium range which means the radiation is already high for it to detect, field surveys are not geiger counter such as CDV-700 6B which can alert you to minimum exposure. When we were kids I would travel with my dad and assign these to CD shelters and teach how to use them when he worked for the Government... good times
