"Today the European Commission adopted a package of measures aimed at complicating the possibility of acquiring firearms in the EU, improving the regulation of the legal ownership of the weapon, the strengthening of cooperation between the member countries," - said in the guidance of the EU institutions."

Is it true or is a fake ???

I am just curious about something. This pertains to U.S citizen members. Do you feel threatened by ISIS attacking us? Now on to my rant.

<rant>I am so sick and tired of EVERY FREAKIN DAY reading or hearing on MSM ISIS "THREATENING" to attack DC, or Los Angles, or New York City blah blah blah, and everyday nothing happens.</rant> How about instead of making some threats, why don't they actually DO IT? HMMM It wouldn't be because behind every blade of grass is a firearm?, AND I think most of us here knows that ISIS, AL-Qaeda are nothing more than hired guns (mercenaries) that the CIA hired, trained, armed. Funny thing is Oh Vlady boy Putin knows it, and even said so. I am not saying they won't attack us here like they did in Paris, I am just saying no more threats, actually DO what you say your gonna DO, OR stop making some stupid threat, and NO I am NOT saying I want that to happen. I am just saying again... Stop with the threats. ISIS is like Kim Jong Un... All talk, and no action. Also curious... Did ISIS threaten Paris before carrying out the attack? Or did they just pursue the attack?

Just found this, forgot about it because there are so many to remember, but being armed can make a diff, depending on circumstance.

" Before anyone asks what difference one armed person can make against a gang of hardened terrorists anyway, I will graciously point such enquirers at the St. James Church massacre. A group of heavily armed terrorists attacked the congregation during the Sunday evening service on 25 July 1993. They attacked without warning and shot the churchgoers with automatic R4 assault rifles and lobbed M26 hand grenades at them.

Among the congregation was Charl van Wyk, who retrieved his .38 Special snub-nosed revolver from his ankle-holster and returned fire. He wounded one of the terrorists, causing them to flee and abandon their plan of firebombing the church with petrol bombs. The attack left 11 innocents dead and 58 wounded, but the toll would have been far worse had Charl van Wyk not been able to fight back."

The people have responded to the idiotic government initiatives ...

Petitioning Council of the European Union
EU : You cannot stop terrorism by restricting legal gun ownership.
stijn Vandamme Boezinge, Belgium

On the morning of 7th January 2015 Terrorists attacked Charlie Hebdo, with fully automatic, unregistered and illegal firearms.
Since then the EU has been preparing new legislation to ban semi-automatic firearms in the hands of law abiding EU citizens. Despite the fact that these weapons were not used by terrorists and are not even typically used by criminals.
They use unregistred, untraceble black market full auto Kalashnikovs.
The new legislation has been on the back burner since April 2015, only to surface now on 18th of November, barely 5 days after a second attack in Paris.
The victims of this tragedy have not been buried yet, the criminals are still on the loose and the police has not even finished the investigation and yet the EU is announcing measures to prevent something like that from happening again.
Unfortunately nothing in the draft would have prevented these 2 attacks since neither were done with weapons that are now legal and would be banned with this new law. Nothing.
What you are proposing is like telling your own child it is grounded,
because the neighbours child has been arrested for raping and killing a girl called Paris, twice.
It is not logical and above all it is extremely unfair.
It is unfair to the victims, it is unfair to the law abiding citizens.
Say NO to the draft proposal announced on 18 November 2015
Do not restrict semi-automatic firearms 'because they look like an automatic firearm'
We the Citizens demand that the EU brings focus on the real problems:
- That the external borders of the EU are not protected.
- Our population has groups in it that refuse to allign with our democratic core values and our culture.
- Illegal arms trade is rampant within the EU.
- Criminals and terrorists have easier access to illegal weapons then legal gun owners have access to legal arms.
That is the current situation and this new legislation does NOTHING to adress those problems.
The 18 November IP-15-6110 draft to amend 91/477/EEC is not only populistic in nature, it is also an insult to our civil liberties and to the intelligence of the EU citizens as a whole.

Belgium missed chance to nab Paris attacks suspect due to law limiting raids, official says

"obscure law that prohibits police from entering private homes between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m."

"A spokesman for the Belgian federal prosecutor's office acknowledged to The New York Times that authorities did not seal off the area during the night and that Abdeslam was gone when police returned the following day to carry out their operation. Belgian media reported that investigators found evidence during their search that Abdeslam had indeed been in the apartment during the night"
