i know that there's 3 separate power grids, here in the u.s...but yet.i figure just one emp over either of them will not only take out,at least a certain amount of said power grid, when it comes to where it takes place..but will cause a domino effect, not only when it comes to that power grid.but the other 2 wont be able to handle after a certain length of time,as well..on account all 3 grids are to fragile..and to out of date..

Exactly, and with most people with out food or water for 2 days, it will be hell in no time.

North Korea may just be next in the long list of shithole countries that we spend trillions of tax dollars in for no other reason than to keep supporting the military industry. Maybe we should try ignoring countries like NK and stay out of their affairs. Let SK, Japan and/or China deal with them. I think this whole NK thing is just more smoke and mirrors designed to keep people from focusing on truly important issues.

The rhetoric being thrown around by both us and N Korea is getting out of hand. I really wish I had some authority or ability to calm this situation down. It's clear to me that this is becoming a run away train wreck. We can't afford another war, and the thought of all the young lost lives is neausating. Why can't leaders use rational common sense?
First off, the US needs to stop our aggression and war games on their doorstep. No wonder the little turd is paranoid. Next we should agree to a pact to never invade or interfere with their soverenty in exchange of their going non nuclear. We are intent on provoking the little shit until we are at war. I really don't think there's much hope for humanity.

rational common sense is a commodity that no longer excists in the political world and the weaponry we have to our disposal is so
great it's scary,we are on a very narrow path right now...
and you can all bet your own lives that the "ruling body" is well prepped and have places where they can hide and prolly ride the storm..

Yeah, and all those bunkers and security for them was paid for by us. Kind of disgusting to me. If the leaders are the ones starting the wars, why don't they get to share some of the hardships and risks, if they did then maybe we wouldn't be in so many wars.

i gotta ask..whats the chances of just of things getting done.?im thinking,none..

On my canning site, this topic came up and of course you have the people that say, "it doesn't matter, God is in charge". I just had to respond that I truly don't think God wants us to sit on our hands while the world goes to hell around us. I believe he would expected us to do all we can to prepare. Those are the people that will be begging for our preps.

I vaguely remember the saying that god helps those that help themselves.

doing night shifts again,I keep looking at the news every now and then.
I know there ain't much I can do to prevent things in this world, but I do know how fast I can reach my home and my preps if the need arises.

and I won't be waiting for help to arrive from above, unless it's airborne,if things go really bad
our chance is in what we know and learnt and how well we can use that knowledge.

That's about the best an individual can do.

how much an "incident" over there would affect little me here,I do not know,it would
prolly affect the the markets as Tokyo is over there, would the shit storm spread?
prolly yes to that question too,as China and India are both prepping for a showdown in the Himalayas...and China would seize
the opportunity to move ahead against India, when all eyes are fixed on NK

And let's not forget about Pakistan. They can't get along with anyone either, plus they have nukes. I think there's about a billion Pakis too.

Humans, in particular some in office right now, are not rational enough for nuclear weapons, period. I think it's kind of telling when all the scientists that worked on creating the atomic bomb got together and wrote a request that it never be used.
