Any bets on what trump is going to do in N Korea? I'm still 50/50 on wheather he is just posturing or is planning to do a strike on their nuclear and or rocket facilities. I do think that having Iaq, Afganistan,Syria,Iran and N Korea all at once is spread too thin.

IF he listens to his advisors, I doubt he'll pull the trigger on them. I know China would rather we didn't, and I'm sure his advisors don't want to go toe to toe with China. If he doesn't listen, I'd agree with the 50-50 split.

I don't see him having a MOAB dropped on them because I'm sure that their anti aircraft systems would make that as easy as Afghanistan. That leaves perhaps cruise missiles, and I don't think that they'd be able to cave in a tunnel complex.

I'd be more concerned about what China would do if he did something...

If we did strike N Korea it would just be another never ending war that we couldn't possibly win. We're already bankrupt from the other two wars we lost, how would we pay for this one? The US should stay the hell out of N Korea, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and all the rest of the world where we have no business meddling with. Let S Korea and Japan deal with N Korea if they want.

understand that sentiment, let SK and Japan deal with the nut job,but you are allies with those contries aren't you??
so if you leave them knee deep in doo-doo,they will undoublty seek another partner, someone they think they can trust and thus you would put them together with perhaps China or Russia.
having that partnership comes with pros and cons my friends.

Just a game of bluffs. Koreans are all about saving face. The North wants to maintain this image of strength but everyone knows their first move will be their last. They don't have the resources to engage any world class superpower.

China uses NK as leverage in the political game. Just more smoke being blown imo.

I just hope your right, and do believe your on the right track.

I think NK is just testing to see how Trump reacts, dropping the MOAB's should give fat boy a little insight on Trump,he will if needed pull the trigger

If NK made a move their silos would be nuked and their land infiltrated immediately. They would fold within 48 hrs. It would essentially be suicide for the country.

If they were going to make a move they would have done so a long time ago.

We have overlapping interests with their only ally, China. China is the only thing keeping them going for political reasons.

Only thing I could think of would be if they had some rogue within. Or possibly if another country/or individual wanted to use them to bate a war.

I'm no expert however. I think only people that should be worried would be South Koreans. Their capital Seoul is within striking distance. If things ever did go off and they got even one of their bombs off...it would be bad.

It would not be good for their health to go that route...highly doubtful.

someone who travelled a lot in that region- merchant navy- said all the north Koreans are not human, they are all little robots, they don't smile or laugh, they have to be told what to do. just his opinion mind.

They don't really have much of a choice. It's between being a submissive robot or enjoy the luxurious stay at the NK Hilton Concentration Camp.

I wouldn't want to fight them. What they lack in uniforms they make up for in drive, fierce discipline and determination.

Unfortunately they can't afford to feed their people. Kim Jung Phatty Choo Chooch should spread the wealth a little.

yup, that's the big problem with NK soldiers, most will be loyal to the death, indoctrinated from child to do so,it's even further than it was with the SS,even with lesser arms tech,it will be hard...with a nut job as ruler, hard, really hard.

and before someone says;well we just nuke them and it's over, think, think hard,do we wanna open that pandoras box?? we got a glimpse of it during the last phase of WW2,not pretty.

You need to watch this documentary. The mindset of the North Korean People is hard for us to fathom, but this gives you a glimpse into that mindset. While Kim Jong-Il was still alive, Nat Geo reporter Lisa Ling, along with Dr. Sanduk Ruit of Nepal and the Nat Geo crew, gained access inside North Korea. Dr. Ruit performed cataract surgery on North Koreans. While interviewing one woman with cataracts, they asked what was the most difficult part of not being able to see. She said the most difficult thing was not being able to see Supreme Leader. When patients took off their bandages, and could see, the first thing they did was shout praises to their Supreme Leader for curing them.

Yes I've seen this. Good stuff. Another good one is the one by Vice.

Here is another video that interviews North Korean defectors. Under Kim Jong-Il, if you got caught trying to defect three times you were publicly executed in front of your family. Now, under Kim Jong-Un, if you get caught trying to defect one time, you, your wife, your children, your parents, your grandparents and all the rest of your relatives are executed publicly.

White rice is so expensive, you only get to eat it on your birthday.

The Asian mentality, culture, and more uniform IQ dispersal lend themselves to more stable and orderly societies, and being very well disciplined and law abiding, but that can go the extreme of being servile and groupthink.

North Korea is a country operating under EXTREMELY limited resources. It is my understanding that most of the country is functioning without electricity.

If u wanna talk survivalist, it doesn't get much more hardcore than NK. South Korea in contrast has become space age almost on a Tokyo level over night.

Inevitably NK will fold eventually. My prediction is many of the hardened brain washed population will retreat deep into the forest to avoid conversion.

The merging of the two countries will initially be quite damaging to the south. Eventually however Korea will become a world class superpower as a whole.
