The problem is if the government mandates a vaccine they could (would) force employers to make it a condition of employment. They could also have schools force it on school children. It could also be a condition of receiving unemployment, welfare, SS or any other government benefit.

I guess I was thinking of the China flu vaccine once they get one developed.
What I mean is the mechanism is already in place to force it on school children and all they have to do is add it to the list. And there is no doubt it will go on the list as soon as it's been cleared by the FDA.
There are some exceptions for religious grounds etc., but if there is an epidemic then they will not allow the exceptions.
Here are the mandatory vaccines in Georgia for school children. They just keep adding more and more to the list.
(a) Diphtheria;
(b) Haemophilus influenzae type B (not required on or after the fifth birthday);
(c) Hepatitis A;
(d) Hepatitis B;
(e) Measles;
(f) Meningitis;
(g) Mumps;
(h) Pertussis;
(i) Pneumococcal (not required on or after the fifth birthday);
(j) Poliomyelitis;
(k) Rubella (German measles);
(l) Tetanus; and
(m) Varicella (chickenpox).
