Hi. I am new to prepping. I have been reading EMP disaster books and "One Second After" just clicked it in place for me. I am hoping for information to become better prepared. I am an RN but that will not feed or protect us.

Actually, in an indirect kind of way, it very well might. The services & skills of an RN will be in high demand in any kind of calamity. You have abilities you can barter!

As another said, this is a GREAT skill to have to barter for what you and your family would need (it's also a skill that can keep you alive when it's really rough, because any bad guys would prefer to keep you alive....). Not the best way to look at it, but still, in the rough "just after" phase...there will come a point where folks do things they would never have done before, for water and food....but having a valuable skill means you stay alive.
