I have been prepping since 2012,retired from D.O.J and Army Reserves. I thought I had some prepper friends, turned out it was just a fad for them. Hoping to exchange ideas with real preppers.I also type with one finger.

Lots of ‘preppers’ aren’t preppers. I’d bet that you’re right - it’s a fad and then they move on to something else.

Prepping is a way of lifestyle with us raising our own foods and putting away for when it can't be grown. Living along the coast, we have gone thru enough hurricanes that preparing for them just makes sense, then other things that just pop up in life. You just never know. .

Thanks for the welcome, once again I got lost in the wires and lights, surfing not for me, so that means I have to walk the web. I have my dogs here, not much help with the computer but good companionship .

Well, jayjay you must be in the outback, if your weapon is scoped , your gun laws and all. Your a better man than me, couldn't live without the weapons I have or stockpile of ammo. I can tell you that the thugs have the best of guns ( illegal ).I realy would hate to have to prep under your conditions, the gov already has a leg up on the gen. pop. Hats off to you brother.

G'day mate-I guess prepping anywhere is hard-sure we have harsh conditions, but no snow, blizzards, ice etc. Water is a factor, but i think it is for most.
Yeah, the crims have the best guns here too - but I'll keep my opinions to myself.
Scoped rifle is my choice-years and years of hnting made it an easy choice.
We don't have the population, but we have the tyranny of distance, and that can be a bad thing.
Happy to chat more about our differing methods of preparing too, I think I could learn a lot.

I'm on the lower Eyre Peninsular in South Australia - not so much the Outback, but in a rural setting, close to the ocean, and close to scrubland/farmland. Has advantages, as well as disadvantages.

Until I got on this site I didn't know so many countries and people were preppin. I should have, all the countries gov.people are the same, the rich screw the rest, were here to make the rich even more money, but you know I can deal with that because I know when the ball drops there will only be two classes of people, the prepared and everybody else.
