I am a desert dweller. Love extreme hot temperatures. Currently reside in an urban area but making future plans to relocate to a more remote location. My aim is true, my typing not so much. Mind works a lot faster than fingers. Not overly sensitive, so if I make a mistake or mis-step, be suer to point me in the right direction.

Well Thank you Maverick. Got a step daughter up in your neck of the woods (Wash. state). Got kids spread all up and down the west coast. Still trying to convince them to move to where is is warm and dry.

I'm still looking for some land in Northern Idaho, Western Montana and Utah. Washington gone to hell and looking to sell the property when the time comes. I have family in Arizona and the Wife would prefer Arizona but the number one rule I have is 'follow the water' I use to own land in Southern Utah around Kanab and Northern Nevada bordering Idaho outside of Jackpot

There is land in the St. John, Arizona area and is very reasonable. Fair winters (about 5 month at 32 F) or above and fair summers (about 5 Months above 95F ). No drastic snow falls, about 6 inches per year. Some of the land is sitting on top of a major aquifer. Just one spot to check out and no I do not sell real estate or own any land in the area. LOl

I plan my summer by the snowfall I get, the deeper the better as long as it doesn’t go from October to may [emoji4] Snow means I have the creeks running all summer, I don’t need just wells but creeks.

Welcome to the forum Urban. Good luck on your property search. I don't care for hot weather myself. We get about 5 days a year above 90 here, usually in August. So far this year the highest temp was 87.

Welcome. Glad to hear you have a large aquifer there. Desert always scared me off due to lack of water, beautiful otherwise.

Yeah you have to design your place for the deserts. Know your annual rain fail. Design to collect and store enough for two years of complete drought. Having a well is just added insurance. The desert is beautiful but not forgiving.
