New Evidence of Hacked Supermicro Hardware Found in U.S. Telecom

A major U.S. telecommunications company discovered manipulated hardware from Super Micro Computer Inc. in its network and removed it in August, fresh evidence of tampering in China of critical technology components bound for the U.S., according to a security expert working for the telecom company.

Apple and Amazon have denied that they were affected by any of this, but they use Supermicro servers.

This wouldn’t be for anything more than spying on commerce, but if they built servers that control, say, the power grids of this country, or the communication networks of this country, they could cause a lot of trouble with little effort...

For those that don’t know, Stuxnet was a sleeper program/virus that we unleashed on Iran’s neculear centerfruges destroying them. It was the most sophisticated computer attack ever at the time.

No, not debunked, Almost all the security firms believe it, the only one's denying are the one's in no short order that caused it to happen in the first place this includes microsoft, apple, google etc.. they have a lot invested in china!

A couple or so years ago the Pentagon ordered the military to change a electronics board on the F16 and F35 for a suspected problem as listed above, a compromised chip.
