If it wasn't for bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all.
The story reminds me of a guy who got hit with lightning 5 times over 3 years.
The fifth time, a storm was approaching, so he crossed himself and went into the basement.
The lightning hit the house, and the electricity traveled through the metal pipes and zapped him while he was sitting in the middle of the floor in his basement.
He survived all of these strikes, but he ended up with neurological problems.
It's a true story.
