Well learned something new just out of curiosity on the folding knives what was that second one you called a Bowie

One of cold steels best marketing ploys is the lock mechanism, they tend to be grossly over engineered and very strong compared to some brands, and the pivot rivet section is also HD thus making for about as strong a folder as you can get. So you trade off a snifter of strength but get a tool far more carriable and concealable. As much as I love my Stings there are great limitations as to where I can get away with carrying one, but the Voyager gets taken to all sorts of places.

my basic EDC knife is a folder, unbranded and cost me about £4 , I have others that cost me as little as £2-these were resold after the airport ban on sharp objects, all are good knives and have served me for several years.

So just wondering with you guys that carry cold steel folders do you feel like you can get them open in time if someone jumped you for a fight and don't some have a catch on the blade to open faster as it coming out of your pocket or wristband
