What gets Me is it is indigenous tribal militants that have decimated the elephant and rhino population for the ivory trade . But the media paints the picture of the great white hunter from the west hunting for trophies has whipped them out . Had conservation been managed by hunters from the U.S and Europe then the wild life populations would be as ever recorded .

I think it’s the northern white rhino, I believe there are two females left and no males. Sad.

Not yet. Black Rhino are critically endangered but still living in the wild in a number of African Countries. And there are a number of them in zoos.

The Northern White Rhino is extinct for all practical purposes. There are only two aging females left.

They actually have some frozen northern white rhino sperm that they will try to create test tube rhinos with, but it's a long shot. Even it it's successful, the population is not sustainable. Not to mention the extreme inbreeding.

They don't need to use black rhino surrogates, there are plenty of Southern White Rhinos to use as surrogates.

Personally I like the idea of designated preservation land for the animals and then don't let people interfere, period. Mankind in general has not been kind to animals or people it seems.

there is no polite way to say this,,,if there is a buck to be made the tribes will make the most of it,,,,,and that includes slavery,there were a lot of Blacks sold into slavery by their own people,,,,and they blame anyone but their self's for it,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I read this earlier and this may sound sadistic, but I thought that this situation was hysterically funny.

I absolutely love it when cosmic justice shows itself.

We all toasted the lions when we were out drinking after work last night.
