I like kabar but i wish they'd put more steel in the handle than that rat tail tang. I've had them bend at the handle too many times to count...

I love my ka-bars.

I have three.
1) A rare, D2 steel ka-bar with a straight edge and no teeth.
2) A standard leather grip.
3) A stainless ka-bar partially serrated.

I love my ka-bars. I've used them extensively in my camping and backpacking trips, and around a barn when I was takimg care of horses.

I would really LOVE on of these but their bloody expensive in the UK, that's when you can actually find some store that even sells it.

No offense intended, but I know that the UK government is anti-gun. With the understanding that I'm not trying to be a wiseass...are ka-bars actually legal in the UK?

I wouldn't mind helping you out and shipping you one, but I don't want the police showing up at my door because I violated some international law. Would such a knife pass through British customs?

Ok. If you look into it and find out differently, let me know. I have several ka-bars, and if I send you my used, battered (but still completely functional and intact) knife...I'll have an excuse to get a new one so I can sneak it past the live-in girlfriend.

She tends to judge me as a spendthrift because of my knife collection.

heck, she should see my knife collection!!!!
your kind offer makes me wish I lived in the US, thanks anyway, I still don't think its worth the risk.

yep, bit out of my budget. I've got plenty of sheath knives, even got a bowie knife, its just that I liked the look of a Ka-Bar, oh well you never know what I might pick up in the future, stranger things have happened! I picked up a bow in a market for £2 ( I resold that one for £10) and I got another one with a well know brand in an auction for £15.
