I'm a big advocate of the 2nd amendment and I believe that the right to open carry should be a right of every law abiding American citizen.

With that being said I also believe that certain gun owners give the rest of us a bad name. This guy is lucky he lives in a free state like Texas because in many others...he would have been lit up like a Christmas tree by the police.

Imagine being an officer on call with an azzhole like this. This guy was begging to be messed with. This is my perception of this incident. I'm sure others here will feel differently. I really feel sorry for his kids having to see that play out.

if he had not acted like a fool he would not have been arrested

I agree...this could so easily have been avoided if he would have just been calm and respectful. I'm of the belief treat people like you'd like to be treated and usually things will play out okay.

Some people wanna be able to act like a bully hardazz only to be surprised when that same aggression is returned towards them. In this case this guy was addressing officers of the law like they were bandit thugs.

I could never imagine speaking to an officer this way...especially when you have an AR15 strapped to your chest.:confused:o_O

And the Darwin award goes to...

These law officers are also ignorant. Like the LEO said, they think they are exempt from the law. Being an ### hole is not against the law.
That officer did not have proper training. A trained officer would have handled this much better. LEO abused there power due to ignorance.

The officer asked him to stop to check his identification because they received calls of disturbance from locals. The officer clearly stated that "I'm just going to verify your ID and you'll be on your way."

From the start of the interaction...suspect exhibited hostile/aggressive characteristics and was borderline non compliant.

The officers were being quite generous in this case in my opinion. I have a concealed carry license and the last way I want to appear while carrying is aggressive.

Bare in mind law enforcement officers are trained and conditioned to assume/prepare for the worst case scenario...justifiably so.

Making a LEO uncomfortable is the last thing you want to do as a gun owner. Even had the officers been unreasonable...being hostile and insulting won't help your cause. Especially when you're armed with a semi automatic rifle.

I can tell you open carry legal or not...if he acted that way in many other states...he would be placing his life in danger.

What's even worse in this case was the fact that his son was with him. You can hear his son crying towards end of the video. Was that really necessary? I don't think so.

You're right the police aren't exempt from the law but common sense is common sense. Being an azzhole to LEO isn't likely to end in your favor.

Sadly there are some, a few who even in your wonderfully free country who think that NO laws or Civil acts should apply to them, they think they should still live like they did in the early 1800s.

I'm tired of these types of videos, much of these videos are for nothing more than to attract attention to themselves. The Officer didn't randomly select the subject to harass, he was on a call, he asked for ID so he can clear the call, it is as simple as that, take five minutes and move on it's that fuxxen easy. You start an attitude expect to receive an attitude, it's always been that way.

G'damn jerks like this in the video I have no petty for, no difference than the assholes who won't roll the window down all the way while recording the whole episode for nothing more than to invoke a response and put it on youtube, I'm so tired of this shit! We have assholes on the Right and on the Left aiming for a provocation from Law Enforcement so it can make the news. Law Enforcement got enough targets planted all over them, they don't need this crap!

This is what happens when an already pissed super entitled azzhole is confronted. From the very beginning he had this "how dare you question me!" attitude and was clearly looking for a fight.

99.99% of conflicts could easily be avoided if people would simply remain calm. What could have been a minor routine stop escalated into an unnecessary standoff that resulted in his arrest.

When I was staying in KS with the family of a deputy sheriff we visited OK city, along the way we were pulled by the OK Highway patrol only a few weeks after one of their officers was shot dead doing a routine traffic stop. My host said " just do what the officer tells you" so we did """"Hands on dash, Is anyone armed ( John was) Exit vehicle one at a time, slowly hand over your gun permit. Thank you Sir. Have a good day, Bye. That simple, that polite.
