Hey all, I am new to prepping. I have done tons of reading, started a basic bug out bag, and started stocking up. I am here to learn mostly, and hopefully share experience and knowledge in certain areas I am proficient in (mainly electronics, solar, and medical). I live in southern Florida, and would love to meet up with other (serious) preppers. I have some friends who stock up on MREs and ammo, but have zero survival skills. I would like to become a "jack of all trades" while focusing on medical strategies and stocking up on supplies.

Welcome to the group. There is so much more than your friends stocking up on MREs and ammo ideas. since your in FL, assuming you've been thru some hurricanes. Think about how you are going to live day to day for that period of no elecricity, no trucks getting thru to restock gas and food stores, etc gives you some ideas in sure.

Thanks all! I'm originally from California, been in South Florida for about 8 years now and love it. Hurricanes got me prepping before i was prepping. I now have all the basics to survive 2 weeks without power or leaving my bug in location + first aid (of course protection)

I have the fever, and its fun to plan with my wife (she's less involved, but thinks its a great idea so I lucked out there!). This forum has already provided a wealth of information, decided to stop lurking and become apart of it. Plus I'd like to find other like minded people in my area who could provide a "community" after the zombies come
