I had a bug

I got up this morning and the old PC was acting up,I tried posting here and on face book and the print was purple and just look wrong,,,,,,,,I used to load this thing up and take it in to the shop,not anymore,I don't store much data on here I have online storage for that ,so I just pop in the disk and reloaded the darn thing,it saves money and down time and it only takes about 1 hour to do the deed

I don't know about that,take that PC in to get rid of the bug can get pricey ,I know my firs PC spent more time in the shop than at home and I spent a lot of money on it

Have you tried Malwarebytes? Its a free download and gets rid of bugs/viruses pretty good.

Malware bytes is awesome, even the free version. If you get into a really bad situation and can still boot in safe mode with networking, try Hitman Pro. There is a fully functional 30 day trial at https://www.hitmanpro.com/en-us/hmp.aspx.

Being an IT guy, it's great for rootkit viruses that usually take a reinstall to kill. If you choose to download it, don't install until you need it. When it says a 30 day trial it ain't joking. Unlike malwarebytes, it takes about 15 or 20 minutes to run.

Best thing to do is create an anti virus protected boot disk. It will save you a lot of time and money.

I wish I had made an effort to learn more with them. I'm fine with learning to estimate, invoice and save things for the business at least. Learning a procedure to do what you need is easy, it's when you hit a key and it doesn't do what it did before is when I'm in trouble. At least I finally got over the fear of screwing it up, And I will attempt to hit anything on the screen now.
