It looks like it could be heading our way. Our local PD and weather stations are telling us to brace for up to 8in of rain over the next couple days. Prayers are appreciated.

i hope for best for yall..thats lots of water in a couple of days..hope you have a boat..

Still hasn't made this turn they keep predicting. Once a storm gets to Cat 3 or Cat 4, often, it isn't as influenced by the weather around it. It barrels through. Hoping that isn't the case though. Supposedly, we (central FL) are in the clear, but that's a pretty powerful storm, so still keeping an eye on it. Best of luck to the folks it will hit. Hopefully, will only be about a Cat 2 by the time it does.

I'm braced for the outskirts here! Just found out my oil lantern leaked and my husband threw it away without telling me so I can replace it, hope the hardware store is open tomorrow! As it is candles are my friend.

Still keeping a weary eye on this. Especially as it's moving northwest now. Supposed to go sharp north later today, so we'll see. While no need to panic, I'm surprised so many are so lackluster here, about it. I guess since it's been so long, most don't remember what these can do.

thats why i keep up with stuff like that myself..this way i know what needs replacing, and what dont need replacing...i know what needs refilling, and what dont.right along with what needs recharging, and what dont need recharging..i know where all the candles are as well.that includes the ones that are sitting out,and put away,alike..we dont have to worry about hurricanes where i live like everyone that lives on a coastline.but yet.we do have one come inland every once in awhile thoe.and we do have our share of power outages..

There are some areas where I wish I was more prepared, but the timing is bad. Just paid a bunch of bills. I would really rather have my current grill tank full, and another spare tank full (I do have one full spare). I'd also rather have a bit more hay, feed, and pet food onhand, but like I said, just bad timing. We're cool with water and food though, as well as lamp oil, candles, and LED lights. Just filled up the Truck too, so gas topped off.

Got a new oil lamp, we have a great prepping store in town here! Also bought a rechargeable battery with solar charging capability. Being from Florida originally, I know all about these storms, so bring it on! I'll be drinking a glass of wine and reading a book.
