I'm a little troubled about the direction the world is heading...

I have a husband, two kids, four cats, pretty small appartement in a big city and a little summer house. In case SHTF I hope we can make it out of the city.
I'm not into massive stock stuff and so, at the moment I'm trying to get basic survival info and maybe some skills (something nobody can take away from me).

Welcome. We are all here to learn, and socialize with like minded people. My first and most important advice is to invest in a good water filter, maybe even two for a backup. It’s great when water flows out of the faucet, but if it is disrupted for any reason, having safe drinking water is top on my list for protecting your family. There are threads on all sorts of interests here, so dig around and have fun. My advice as well is avoid the politics and religion ones as people get a little wacky on these subjects!

No No No Dear Lady not I HOPE, Make a PLAN, Find ALL the ways out of your city even ones in the opposite direction to your cabin. HOPE and FATE are what you are left with when you don't plan properly I also hear that the Czech and Austrian governments have made it easier to get a gun and licence so perhaps all is not lost. Frau Merkel has certainly done Europe no favours Můj kamarád.
