Welcome from Fin.

learning about wild plants, for food and medicine is good, heck nature can give us so much if we know what to look for.
Completely agree! One of my favorite herbs is cyanne pepper. The awesome thing is when you have a gnarly gash if you put cyanne pepper in it, it not only disinfects it also helps the wound to heal rapidly and clot faster to form a scab. My poor husband is my guinea pig lol.

Definitely agree. God gave us amazing things to work with. Its just we've become so dependent on what the government has given us we forgot that all we need is in our back yard.

Welcome! I am also interested in herbal medicine. I made a Neosporin replacement out of beeswax, comfy, honey, and calendula iirc that works better than the over the counter stuff. I also collect plantain for poultices and echinacea for poultices and tinctures ... they are easy to identify, at least for me as I grew up with them. There are some on line courses that are occasionally offered for free....

A tea made from steeping marigold petals will kill lice from the natural pyrethrins.

If you chop up the poisonous mushroom Amanita muscaria (Fly Agaric) and mix it with milk and sugar on a plate and leave it in the kitchen, flies will die when they get poisoned when they land on the plate.
