Howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quite a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or2..and by all means jump right on in with any replies you have on a topic.

That is great that you do some prepping already :). What kind of things are you already doing? For us, it is a lifestyle that we do every day with raisin g our own meat for butcher, growing a garden and preserving as much as possible with canning, drying, freezing and freeze drying. What I can not get to goes to the critters so nothing is a waste and it all gets recycled.

Welcome to the group btw.

I've always done basic things like. As I live in the countryside, I make sure I have tinned provisions, I have always kept a bag in my boot with a spare set of clothes, Tool kit, folding shovel, torch, waterproofs, abit of carpet incase I get stuck.
I make sure that my car has at least 1/2 a tank of fuel.
