I'm new here and plan to learn a lot about prepping.

The reason I join the prepping is recently I've watched Nat Geo's documentary about preppers. Wow that's the first time I know about this group of ppl.

My childhood memory was painful so there's always been uncertainty and anxiety deep in my heart. And it was not easy to tell others.

Until the day I found the prepping, the profound uneasiness started to thaw, with prepping skills and a safe location somewhere it really feels safe and cozy, and more important I feel protected and not alone anymore.

There's much for me to learn, thank you guys, thank you very much for those ppl built this forum, I'm lucky to be here.

Best wishes!

Warm Welcome from the Arizona valley folks. Read past posts, there are a million money saving tidbits and a huge knowledge base. Enjoy.

You live in a beautiful state, as long as your not in the big apple. My dad's parents used to live in New Albany and Fort Edwards for years so I have seen some nice pictures of the area. Mom said I went there once but that was before any of my memories stuck. I was around 1 1/2 yes old.
Prepping is like a security blanket for us. We do experience hurricanes where we are at so that is one of our reasons, but you just never know what the future may hold. Natural disasters, job loss, or even seasons we can't do our farming for whatever reason. If you have a nice little stockpile, it take some of the burden off because you know you have something to fall back on.
Good luck and welcome to the foeum.

Welcome from Oklahoma!! I, too, have felt the uneasiness for a long time, and prepping helps with that. You never know what is around the corner. I like my security blankets! Will have to check out that documentary. Glad to have you.
