Welcome to the forum! Lots of really useful information here already, but feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Thank you!
I guess I should give y'all a little background. I am a 40 year old widowed mother of three. I am an amateur historian and former RN. I am a very happy outgoing person. I love my country and our current President. I homeschool all three children. My twins who are 15 will graduate high school in late August.

I began prepping after September 11. I was actually in Manhattan that day and saw the second plane hit (though I was at a distance) After that I realized, there was more than just terror to be concerned about. Right now my biggest "concern" is H7N9

I believe in being prepared for everything, not just one or two specific events. I believe it is my job to ensure my children are provided for in any eventuality.

I have for several years belonged to another forum but, the owner of that forum is becoming increasingly erratic and I do not thrive on fussing and fighting. So, here I am. I hope I will be an asset to this community.

Welcome. Glad you got out of manhattan safely! The traffic alone is probably more dangerous than terrorism. I noticed you said ex RN, what got you out of nursing at such a young age?

Understandable. If I lived in a very populated area, that would be a big concern for me as well.

I believe it is my job to ensure my children are provided for in any eventuality.

Absolutely! Always glad to hear someone say that.
Howdy from west Texas. Welcome to the forums.
