Starting back when my husband and I lived in Florida and were hit by Hurricane Charlie, my interest in survival and preparedness has escalated. We were two weeks without power. Gas and groceries were difficult to come by. I learned the hard way that I want to be self-sufficient and able to care for myself and my family in case of an emergency.

My husband is an avid gun collector and has gotten me interested in learning to properly handle a firearm. I have a 22 caliber pistol that I am anxious to get to the range to try out. Our daily living environment can change in a heartbeat and I would never regret being ready, even if it never happened.

Welcome from Alabama! I think most of us are prepping for anything from weather to the poop hitting the fan. You sound well armed: good for you. Please learn to use and be comfortable with your firearms.
