Hi everyone, I'm Gita. I'm searching for more people interested in prepping/self-sufficient lifestyle. At the moment we are a group of 3 and we are planning to build something like a little village for our group. Do any of you guys have similar plans? I'd be very happy so hear some of your ideas!

Hello from the UK, lots of preppers and associated sub groups make an effort to go OFF GRID and more sustainable by getting into homesteading and rewnewable energy and self sufficiency, Across north and south Europe you can find out good stuff about ECO COMMUNITIES / Eco Villages like the one at Findhorn in the north of Scotland.

Self sufficient communities that combine, prepping, homesteading, green living, off gridding are becoming more common and the best of them mean the residents still live private and individual lives going about their own businesses but knowing their neighbours have similar beliefs. Try reading about the Off grid movement, the American redoubt movement etc.

howdy from a Texan .... and welcome to the forum and family...there's quite a few knowledgeable folks here that'll gladly tell ya what you need to know,or at least point ya in the right direction and/or give ya a good idea or 2..and by all means jump right on in with any replies you have on a topic

Welcome. A group would be my ideal situation as well but most here seem to think prepping isn’t necessary and most of us are kind of out there. Oh well, if we are right and the stability of our economies aren’t as good as most would think then I’m glad to call myself a prepper.

I don't know how things are where you live and it may be very different there. But a village or community here is just going to draw unwanted attention (and suspicion, because of people's fear of those who are different and government opposition to self-sufficiency). It does sound like a nice idea in theory, though I would be very careful about who I allowed to join.

Hello from Germany. Any group is better than being alone. You can discuss every idea and get the group intelligence together. Each person takes over several duties and then the group will stay safe and stable if someone gets sick or injured. Read as many discussions in this and other forums, take notes, ask questions and practice everything you read about. Start small, think big and let NO person tell you that you are wrong, crazy, mis-lead, paranoid or stupid. Believe in yourselves and each other. Learn to trust each other and how to survive without the luxury, but with the simple things. Good luck and God bless. GP
