this stuff was 4x as expensive a year ago.

http://ammoseek.com/ammo/22lr/-rimfire-60grains-?ar=1

while I've seen some claims that this bullet doesn't stabilize in normal 1 in 16" .22lr rifling twists, I did a quick test thru a borrowed 1022 and 2245 at the range. Just quick groups at 25 yds, seemed par for typical .22lr ammo. ( I dont currently own any .22lr guns, just conversion units) Does really well in 1 in 9" twist Ar's and the Ciener .22lr conversion unit. If you hold shut the bolt with your off hand, the 223 silencer makes this stuff sound like a BB gun. You can hear the bullet "click" thru a paper target at 50m, on a quiet day. It hits and cycles like normal .22lr ammo. Because of the super-long bullet, it has to be loaded in .22 SHORT cases.

It's cheaper if you get it local than on line, manufactures are limited online sales to help prevent the mob buying that has engulfed 22cal ammo the past few years, I'm getting it cheaper than a year ago on always on the shelves here now with many on sale from Sportsman Warehouse to Cabela's to Walmart.

I've yet to see this 60 gr stuff locally. It's such a specialized-need item that I consider 500 rds of it a lifetime supply. No need to be doing routine practice with it. It was rare to see it locally even prior to 2012's beginning of the .22 ammo shortage.
