Every year it looks as if Finland is moving closer to become a full Military member of NATO?

"11 April 2017: Several NATO Allies and European Union members come together for a ceremony in Helsinki to sign a memorandum of understanding on establishing a European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats in the Finnish capital. Nine nations sign the Memorandum: Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States; other NATO and EU nations are expected to join the Centre in the near future. While not signatories themselves, NATO and the EU will participate actively in the Centre’s activities."

With your neighbors to the south bringing back the draft and expanding its military, looks as if Sweden is taking seriously the threat. Wonder if Norway, Sweden and Finland have a mutual aid agreement if any of the Countries are attacked? I know their is an Nordic agreement but does that include Military intervention?

well,we had a big "get together armed forces training" with the Swedes just a while ago,must ask my company commander,he might know,but why would
we train together if we didn't have some agreement.

Note: The poll also included Women but didn't break it down between genders. Not sure if the percentages would have been any different though the numbers isn't much of a difference between the surveys Jontte posted and that of from Gallup... it really is a sad state of affairs. I do wonder how much immigration has played into the percentages? again the survey doesn't break it down.

just something to think about,as I have taken part in many training sessions lately,haven't seen a single immigrant there.
could be there are some,but sofar none seen..

either not interested or simply lazy.
