If going to ANY medical facilities wear mask surgical gloves and carry anti-bacterial gel before entering the facility, use anti-bacterial gel after touching anything in public places, as a rule to remember, the public don’t follow hygiene protocols but you can!!!

sorry I can't go along with this,,,,hell if I did all I would ever do is wash my hands, next thing will be disinfect anything you bring to your home along with doing your truck or car every time you touch it,,,you will be disinfecting your money, not many things are dirtier than money,,,,the list is endless

pls do that!!
we've got already many dead 'cause of this flu, latest was a young child...
I spent two weeks in pneumonia and bronchitis and was forced to have my first anti-biotics in more than 15 years..despite all measures I took,
I prolly got that crap from the hospital...

Sick people go to the hospital and or doctor offices, if one are visiting or going for other things other than being sick one is opening themselves up without taking some form of precautions. I'm not talking about sterilizing your on vehicle. It doesn't take much time to bring a small rag and put sanitizing gel on the rag and wiping the handle down of a shopping cart before using when shopping during flu season, better safe than sorry.

We didn't have hardly any cases of flu, and now we have several a day. I work in a medical facility. I held a baby that had the flu. I cleaned everything after he left. I was fine, and so was everyone else. People in the office were freaking out. I cleaned places where the baby wasn't even at for their psychological comfort. What gets me is, the girl that works at the front desk acts like someone has Leprosy if the come in with the flu...but every morning...and I mean every single morning, she comes in to work with fast food for breakfast...usually McDonald's. She has handed her card to the fast food clerk (the clerk has handled multiple cards before hers) and handed it back to her (no possible way of getting the flu from that) she puts her card back in her wallet and touches her steering wheel in her car and drives to work, she pushes elevator buttons coming up the floors (nothing is going to happen there, right?) then she comes in (doesn't wash her hands first) and eats. When she goes home, at some point she will stop off at the gas station and Walmart (no possible way to get the flu in those sterile places) but let someone walk in with flu or flu like symptoms, and she grabs the Lysol can and makes the place look like Hiroshima. I agree hand washing, good hygiene, sanitizer when you can't wash is the best way to avoid it.

The other thing with her and a couple of other ones here, they don't want something terrible like the flu in their bodies, but they are perfectly okay with garbage they feed their bodies with..... every single day...all day long.

Alcohol in sanitizer will kill the flu virus as long as it is above 70% alcohol. Hydrogen Peroxide is another good cheap source for cleaning.

but as one sergeant said...a long time ago "hey,hey..let's be careful out there".... ;)

who ever knows who will be awarded 10 points :)

all I am saying is everyone gets sick sometimes and unless there is a major outbreak of something deadly, ebola, typhoid something of that nature,I am not going to worry about washing my hands or wiping down a shopping cart to avoid germs the darn things are everywhere,

personally I think all this worry is a scam to sell disinfectant and sanitary wipes,,,,30 years ago we were not wiping down things before we touched them,,,,,and a lot of you are well over 30 years old,now tell me if this is such a major concern just how the hell did any of us live to be old codgers of 40/50/60 years old or more,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

dumb luck or what,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

There is a school in Sunnyvale that has shut down due to the flu. It has 85 students with the flu. That was like 12% of the population, but kids are gross in general. I can see where it would spread like mad with a closed environment and a bunch of kids.

the flu running through school kids is nothing new, they bring it home and pass it around like potheads do a joint

Hand washing is simple and cheap, and does help. One other thing most overlook is don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your hands. Everything you touch in public probably has some flu germs on it right now. As soon as you rub your nose or eye you are giving it a potential pathway into your body. Just try to be aware of your hands during this season. People really do die from this stuff, so taking some precautions is just smart. Hiding in isolation on the other hand might be a little overboard.
